After listening to Freia's rough description of the Eastern Continent, Durandal and Rita could not say much about the rest. But they were certain about this allied faction.
It really was the Seven Shield Alliance from the anime she had imagined.
As expected of a patchwork worldview—worlds with relatively similar settings had been completely merged into one, though there were still differences.
"My apologies for disappointing Your Highness again, but we are not from either the Eastern or Western Continents. We come from somewhere even farther away."
Having processed the information the princess had revealed, Rita continued explaining. Since they knew absolutely nothing about this world's development or its powers, they had no way to convincingly pose as locals.
In that case, why not simply admit that they were not from here?
As for whether that would make Freia see them as easy prey, there was no need to worry too much.
That was both confidence in their own strength and faith that this hypocritical princess would not be stupid enough to attack two Heroes before understanding their situation.
And that was indeed the case. Upon receiving Rita's answer, Freia became even more curious. They were neither from the Empire nor from the Eastern Continent, but from somewhere even farther away.
Could there really be other continents in this world?
It was not impossible. Freia had studied in the royal library and recalled reading a book that stated this world was larger than she had imagined.
There was more to it than the places they currently knew.
Could she have encountered people from such a place now...?
