The weekend passed in a flash.
She had to go back to school tomorrow, but Miko Yotsuya felt somewhat resistant to the idea.
She had stayed by Griseo's side all day Sunday. No evil spirits had appeared, and it had even given Miko the feeling that she had returned to her once-peaceful life.
But when she thought about having to go to school alone tomorrow and face those evil spirits by herself again, she could not help but resist.
Miko Yotsuya's current state was exactly like the saying: "If I had never seen the light, I could have endured the darkness!"
If Griseo had never appeared, she could have faced those terrifying monsters alone and remained strong. But with Griseo around, she had already grown accustomed to the sense of security Griseo gave her.
And though it had only been two days, however short that was, they had experienced life and death together.
Lying in her own bed, Miko watched the quiet little girl beside her. Little Griseo seemed to have no worries at all, carefree all day long.
In her world, as long as she could paint quietly, that was enough.
What a pure child. No wonder she was so skilled at painting. If such an innocent heart could not become a master, then there would be no masters in this world.
Lying on her side, Miko admired Griseo's face. No matter how she looked at her, she was unbelievably adorable. Why did such a cute creature even exist in this world? It was as if she had grown up eating nothing but cuteness...
It would be great if she could take Griseo to school with her. Then she would not need to worry about anything at all.
Unfortunately, that was impossible. Griseo looked like nothing more than an
