After hearing about Mai Sakurajima's experience, Miko Yotsuya was startled. She had never imagined those evil spirits and ghostly gods could be so cunning, even making use of methods like that.
They were way too up-to-date, weren't they? It was practically phone fraud.
Miko Yotsuya took the matter to heart. After all, she might very well encounter something similar herself. At the very least, she needed to be more careful.
Mai Sakurajima had also mentioned that the evil spirit had disguised itself as her mother, and its tone had clearly been a little strange. She had not thought much of it at the time, but looking back, there had been some obvious flaws.
However, Mai Sakurajima mentioned that the evil spirits had come wave after wave, and the imprint Griseo had given her had saved her life twice.
When they rushed over afterward, the driver had been going too fast. After getting out of the car, Miko Yotsuya had immediately crouched by a trash can and vomited, only sending Dog Demon ahead to the phone booth.
After all, Mai Sakurajima had mentioned on the phone earlier that the evil spirits had already appeared.
Including the wave Dog Demon had killed, there had been three waves of evil spirits in total, yet the fourth wave had still not appeared.
"Maybe they stopped showing up because I left the phone booth? Or maybe there were only three waves of evil spirits?"
Mai Sakurajima guessed hesitantly.
"No. There must be a relatively powerful ghostly god behind this. Those evil spirits were nothing but foot soldiers."
For the evil spirits to appear wave after wave, it could not possibly have been a coincidence. There had to be someone directing them from behind the
