"Osaka" was located in the Kansai region of the island nation. Originally, it referred to the northern end of the Uemachi Plateau, which ran north to south between the Yamato River and the Yodo River. In ancient times, it belonged to Higashinari District, Settsu Province.
The once-peaceful city changed when countless people woke up and realized something was wrong.
At some point, huge numbers of monsters had appeared in the streets, frantically attacking everything around them. There were not only bizarre-looking monsters, but also humanoid creatures wielding bows, scythes, or katanas. They looked almost exactly like humans, yet they too mercilessly attacked everything around them.
And despite wielding nothing but cold weapons, they possessed strength far beyond ordinary comprehension.
The moment the monsters appeared, the local law enforcement officers responded. However, the small firearms in their hands were completely ineffective.
