The coast.
Kiana and Pardofelis jumped from the ship onto the shore together. Even as they looked back at the massive vessel behind them, they were still a little amazed.
"Pardofelis, how did you get hold of a ship?!"
Ever since the great Honkai outbreak in the United States, other countries had halted all routes to the United States. Whether by plane or ship, no one was willing to go there.
Most countries had even barred people from the United States and several neighboring nations from returning home.
Yet under such circumstances, Pardofelis had somehow gotten a ship and brought her all the way to the United States.
"Hehe, whether it's people or goods, as long as the pay is good enough, I can definitely get it for you."
"But since it's Sister Elysia's request, and since I want to make friends with you, Sister Kiana, there's no need for any payment."
Pardofelis stood with her hands on her hips, looking at the ship before her. She had gone to great lengths to get it.
It couldn't be helped. She couldn't fly... and Can couldn't exactly carry her across the ocean either, so she could only "borrow" a ship to make do.
"...Pardofelis, could you not call me Sister Kiana? It feels weird."
Kiana was thoroughly unaccustomed to hearing Pardofelis say that.
Leaving aside the fact that this ancestor over fifty thousand years old was calling her big sister... "Sister Kiana" just sounded far too strange, didn't it?
She didn't even know where to begin.
"Doesn't Sister Kiana sound nice? I think it sounds great! Besides, 'sister' is an honorific. I don't call just anyone that."
"I'm still not used to it. Just call me Kiana."
Kiana hurriedly spoke up. "Sister Kiana" was far too weird. She couldn't accept it.
