"The sky..."
Kiana looked up at the sky and felt a hint of pressure as well.
Sure enough, before long, a small black dot appeared overhead. It grew larger and closer until they could finally make out what it was.
It was an enormous black wyvern. Though not as terrifying as the demonic dragon Benares, it was definitely no ordinary Honkai Beast.
Its aura even surpassed that of an ordinary Emperor-class Honkai Beast.
"Careful, that's a superior Honkai Beast!"
Before the words had even faded, the wyvern arrived...
Flapping its massive wings, it pounced viciously at the two of them.
Neither Kiana nor Pardofelis dared meet it head-on. They hurriedly dodged to opposite sides, narrowly avoiding the attack. When the black wyvern crashed into the ground, it sent dirt flying everywhere.
It stood in the middle of the battlefield and raised its head toward the sky with an angry roar.
The tremendous sound wave stirred up a blast of air. Pardofelis covered her ears, yet still felt unbearable pain, and Kiana was no better off.
A sound like that was enough to rupture a human's eardrums instantly.
They could not do anything else at all. They could only endure the pain.
When the wyvern finally stopped roaring, Pardofelis's ears still hurt. When she lowered her hands, she found her palms covered in blood.
It had flowed from her ears...
"So scary!! M-My ears... Can, are you okay?"
Pardofelis looked somewhat panicked. Aside from the intense pain, her ears were ringing violently.
For a moment, she worried that she had lost her hearing.
