Tokyo—Akihabara.
In a milk tea shop, Miko Yotsuya hugged the milkshake on the table with both hands, staring blankly with lifeless eyes. Watching the tourists outside the window, she found everything especially dull.
Compared to the somewhat unhappy Miko Yotsuya, her best friend beside her, Hana Yurikawa, was clearly much more optimistic.
A huge pile of snacks and milk tea sat before her, and she ate with relish.
It was only when she noticed her best friend's state that she hesitantly spoke.
"Miko, what's wrong with you these past few days? You've been looking so down the whole time. Is the daifuku not tasty, or is the milk tea not good?"
Miko had been in a bad mood these past few days.
Hana had learned that Akihabara was holding a massive "holy war" today—basically, a large-scale anime convention—so she had invited Miko along to cheer her up.
But Miko was still like this.
"Ha..."
Miko Yotsuya was in no mood.
"Is it because little Griseo left? She's only been gone for a few days! Didn't she say she'd be back before summer vacation?"
"But... what if little Griseo doesn't come back?"
Despite Hana's words, Miko was still torn up inside. For the past two days, she had often dreamed that Griseo had left and would never return, instead going off with Mashiro Shiina and the others.
"She won't. Little Griseo likes you so much—how could she not come back? All her things are still at your house, aren't they?"
Hana Yurikawa truly didn't understand Miko's worries.
Griseo had never said she wouldn't return. She had lived at Miko's home for nearly a year already; how could she just leave like that?
"I hope so..."
Miko Yotsuya hoped she was simply overthinking it.
"Don't think so much about it. Let's go
