At three in the morning.
Miko Yotsuya lay in bed. She seemed to sense something and became slightly more awake. She rubbed her eyes, then slowly opened her bleary gaze.
The glaring light made her a little uncomfortable. The room lights were still on.
"Griseo... are you still awake?"
Miko Yotsuya reached beside her, but did not touch Griseo's body as she had expected.
She instinctively assumed Griseo had not gone to sleep yet. Griseo sometimes painted until very late, even pulling all-nighters, so it was nothing unusual.
Meanwhile, Miko had been unable to hold on and had fallen asleep first.
Miko Yotsuya groggily sat up in bed and looked around the room, equally dazed. Sure enough... that adorable blue-haired girl was still sitting on the floor, painting.
Just as Miko Yotsuya instinctively prepared to say something else—
Her expression suddenly froze...
She felt as though she was seeing things. At that moment, beside Griseo... a pair of blood-red eyes was staring at her, looking exceptionally terrifying.
In that instant, a chill ran down Miko Yotsuya's back. It was as if someone had dumped a bucket of cold water over her, instantly waking her up.
She rubbed her eyes and looked again. It was a pitch-black silhouette, black mist emanating from its body. She could not make out its appearance at all. It looked like an evil ghost from hell.
Those blood-red eyes were filled with destruction and evil...
In the middle of the night, Miko Yotsuya was terrified!
She did not even dare breathe. Stared at by those evil eyes, her mind went completely blank. It even began to turn muddled.
Who knew how long passed before Miko Yotsuya came back to herself. Yet she discovered that there was nothing beside Griseo again—only Griseo, still painting.
"Gr... Griseo..."
