"Are you okay, Miko?"
Seeing Miko fall, Hana Yurikawa hurriedly crouched beside her and helped her up, her face full of worry. What had just happened had been far too frightening.
She had almost—almost been hit by that car.
Luckily, Michiru had grabbed Miko in time.
"I... I'm... fine... probably..."
Miko Yotsuya clutched her head. She had not been knocked down by the car; instead, Michiru had pulled her down, and she had landed right on her head.
Though Michiru had been trying to save her.
If it had not been for Michiru, things might have been much worse.
"Michiru, thank you for earlier!"
Although she had run out because of Michiru in the first place, Michiru really had saved her. Miko Yotsuya lowered her head, trying not to look at her as she thanked her.
It was a little rude to thank her like this.
But she did not dare look too closely at Michiru's appearance. Michiru, meanwhile, did not seem to mind Miko's attitude.
"It's okay. As long as you're all right, Miko."
At Miko's thanks, a flicker passed through Michiru's eyes before quickly settling. She answered calmly.
Yet from the corner of Miko Yotsuya's vision, she could clearly see those tentacles swaying happily. They even seemed to want to wrap around her again, though they hesitated a little.
"Miko, are you really okay?"
Hana Yurikawa was still not entirely reassured.
"I should be fine... Ow..."
Miko Yotsuya was just about to wave her hand when a sharp pain suddenly shot through her head. It was where she had hit it earlier.
"That definitely doesn't look like you're fine!"
"Why don't we go to the hospital? What if it's a comminuted fracture?" Hana Yurikawa said something incredibly dramatic with a worried expression.
"How could it be that serious...?"
