Seele looked at the divine jade in her hand. She had not expected this Rice Ear Princess to be so adorable. Luckily, she had not let Dark Seele hurt her. This Rice Ear Princess... Seele simply could not bring herself to dislike her. She even wanted to be friends with her...

As the chief deity of the Izumo pantheon, Okuninushi's status had originally been equal even to Amaterasu Omikami's. Both were kings of the gods. But... he was merely the chief god of that little place called Izumo.

In the myths, Amaterasu Omikami had gone to enormous lengths to rule all of Ashihara no Nakatsukuni—the human world. Two of her sons had been bought over by Okuninushi. In the end, she had to dispatch Takemikazuchi and Ame-no-Torifune, who drew the Totsuka Blade, before Okuninushi surrendered Izumo. It became a dependency of Amaterasu Omikami, and only then did Amaterasu unite the entire heavenly realm of Takamagahara and Ashihara no Nakatsukuni—the human world of the Far East.

But although Izumo was now under Takamagahara's control, Okuninushi still held the most actual power there. He was essentially the local tyrant.

"Seele... this Rice Ear Princess is really nice. The Izumo Divine Council... it gathers all these gods together without us needing to go to Takamagahara." Dark Seele looked at the divine jade in Seele's hand, a red gleam flashing through her crimson eyes.

"But we can't drag Rice Ear Princess into this."
