"What... Taotie?"

Seele stood on the constantly shaking ground, completely unconcerned by the earthquake-like tremors. What she cared about was the Taotie the onmyoji had mentioned!

What was Taotie?

It was one of Shenzhou's famed Four Fiends. Why had it appeared in the Far East? And even become someone's shikigami...

Seele instinctively felt that was impossible. How could Taotie possibly appear here? If it really were Taotie, let alone becoming the shikigami of some mere onmyoji, even the gods of heaven would probably only become food in its mouth, right?

Amid the earth-shaking rumble, a massive pitch-black monster appeared before Seele. It looked utterly terrifying... Its body resembled that of a rotting black goat, its face was as disgusting as a Licker from Resident Evil, its fangs were like saber teeth, and its limbs resembled human hands.

Black mist coiled around its body. Like a savage beast crawling out of hell, it roared toward the sky, bringing all manner of negative things with it...

"This... is the so-called Taotie?"

Seele blinked her beautiful eyes, momentarily stunned!

What the hell was this thing?!

It had given her such a fright, but what did this have to do with Taotie?!

"What kind of shikigami is that? It feels... so terrifying."

Suzuki Yukiko retreated to Seele's side. As she stared at the savage beast ahead, a flicker of fear passed through her eyes.

Inugami and Inuki were already among the most formidable shikigami. The savage beast before them... though she had no idea what it was, and though it looked far more evil than Inuki, judging from its entrance... it had already displayed abilities beyond those of an ordinary shikigami.

"This is... Taotie? It doesn't feel as strong as the great yokai we encountered last time!"
