Rita walked along the street with Mashiro Shiina. Passersby would occasionally steal glances at them, or simply stare openly.

Rita had long since grown used to this, so she paid it no mind. As for Mashiro Shiina... she seemed immersed in her own world, indifferent to everything outside it.

Still, this was modern society, especially here in Europe... Before long, several men approached Rita to strike up conversations. They were all polite and gentlemanly, so she wasn't upset and turned them down just as graciously.

Though disappointed by her rejection, none of them kept pestering her. They truly had the manners of British gentlemen!

But just as Rita turned down another admirer, she noticed that Mashiro Shiina had vanished from her side. Her expression shifted slightly... and she hurriedly searched the area.

Then she heard a scream and a shout of "Watch out!" Only then did Rita spot Mashiro Shiina, who had wandered absentmindedly into the middle of the road.

A Land Rover was speeding toward her as though it had gone out of control, yet Mashiro Shiina was still staring blankly at the oncoming vehicle.

"Mashiro!"

"Silver Moon!"

Rita rushed toward Mashiro Shiina, her expression unchanged... Behind her, a miragelike humanoid apparition appeared: Silver Moon. The ghostly figure resembled a silent reaper.

Drawing close to Mashiro Shiina, Rita extended her palm... At her mental command, the ghostly reaper behind her swung its scythe. A freezing current of air spread outward, instantly encasing the Land Rover's interior, tires, and engine in ice.

For that instant, the whole world seemed to stop!

It wasn't just the frozen car. Everyone nearby stared at the scene, dumbstruck. A beautiful girl had actually stopped an out-of-control Land Rover with a single palm?
