"Mashiro, take a break first... I made you some black tea." Rita set the sketches in her hands aside and approached Mashiro Shiina with the tea.
But Mashiro Shiina did not react. She merely kept drawing... then, dissatisfied again, threw it away.
Seeing Mashiro Shiina's condition, Rita set the tea on the computer desk beside them and picked up the discarded drafts from the floor. They were still... very well drawn. At least, Rita could not see anything wrong with them.
After looking through a few more, Rita finally understood a little.
"Can't find the feeling?"
Sitting beside Mashiro Shiina, Rita watched as she swiftly sketched herself and Rita. There was nothing wrong with the drawing... but it lacked that feeling that made people want to keep reading.
"Mm..."
Only after hearing Rita say that did Mashiro Shiina stop drawing. As Rita had said before, she wanted to turn the things happening around her into a manga.
She had been full of inspiration when she first thought about it, but once she began drawing... she realized she suddenly did not know what to draw. Even though Rita had given her an outline.
But the things happening around her were too ordinary. This was different from artistic paintings; manga needed more than just an art style—it also needed a story that was not terrible. Making such ordinary plots interesting was not an easy task.
At least... Mashiro Shiina suddenly felt at a loss as to where to begin.
"Some things can't be rushed. Have some tea first and relax your mind. Besides... I have another task for you."
