Background / History

Tang San resides in the Divine Realm. When Xiao Wu suddenly vanishes, he traces her aura to the Douluo Continent using his divine sense and an observation-type divine artifact. He discovers her kneeling before Jiang Ziming, asking to become the boy's maid, and is unable to descend because Divine Realm Committee rules prohibit a God King from interfering in the lower realm without authorization. 2

Xiao Wu's insistence that her former identity no longer matters and that she belongs only to Jiang Ziming intensifies Tang San's anger. He repeatedly observes their interactions from the Divine Realm, providing Jiang Ziming with Emotion Points through his outrage. 2 3 4

Over time, Tang San attempts to avoid watching Jiang Ziming and Xiao Wu, but repeatedly gives in and continues monitoring them. He also appears in Tang Ya's dreams to warn her about Jiang Ziming, intending for her to restrain him; Tang Ya instead recruits Jiang Ziming into the Tang Sect and teaches him its secret arts. 10 32 36

Tang San is depicted bare-chested with wet hair immediately after bathing when he learns of Xiao Wu's disappearance. 2

Personality

Tang San is intensely possessive of Xiao Wu and reacts to her devotion toward Jiang Ziming with humiliation, fury, and repeated vows of retaliation. His first response is to attempt to descend personally and kill Jiang Ziming, though the Divine Realm's rules prevent him from doing so. 2

Despite deciding to watch less often, he remains unable to detach himself from events on the Douluo Continent. His anger is especially heightened when Jiang Ziming learns and uses Tang Sect techniques or reveals information about Wang Donger's divided soul to Xiao Wu. 10 19 36
