Organization

• Inherited cultivation systems — Immortal Orders preserve advanced techniques and specialized legacies. Their inheriting disciples generally stand above cultivators who possess only lesser portions of those inheritances 1431 1474.
• Dao heirs and soldiers — Upper-realm Dao heirs are supported by administrative systems covering fields such as alchemy, artifact forging, spirit planting, and government affairs. Disciples can also serve in Dao-soldier formations 1708.
• Territorial authority — An order may regulate subordinate sects rather than let them annex one another; the Immortal Artifact Sect forbids two protected Void Refinement sects from swallowing each other without permission 1377.
• Communication and diplomacy — The Eight Great Immortal Sects possessed star-region-scale communications, though the Immortal Sect's Foreign Affairs Department found their routine administrative processes extremely slow 828 925.

Relations with the Immortal Sect

The nine great Immortal Orders and the Immortal Sect were described as realm-overlord-level powers 400. Their relations ranged from trade and diplomacy to alliance and war. Agreements with Ancient God Domain orders established diplomatic relations and trade, not military alliances 1480.

In the Nine Spirits Domain conflict, the Eight Great Immortal Sects fielded allied armies against the Immortal Sect Fleet. Their orders offered substantial cultivation rewards for merit in battle 827 828. Later, the Immortal Sect gained access to complete order mountain gates and studied their inheritances and industries 1338.

Six afterglow Immortal Orders eventually accepted a new arrangement under the Immortal Sect's ruling order. They negotiated inheritance exchange and autonomy over the promotion of their own disciples and heirs, then signed a Heavenly Dao Pact with the Immortal Sect 1821 1823 1824.

• Great Yin-Yang Sword Realm — An ancient sword order whose inherited Sun-Taiyin Lineage remained at peace while several other lineages fought a civil war 1459.
• Immortal Artifact Sect — An upper-realm order that controlled lower-domain affairs and deployed mass-produced flesh-puppet Dao soldiers 1377 1410 1666.
• Six Dawn Immortal Orders — Afterglow orders whose remnants rebuilt discipleship systems and order-specific secret grounds while drawing on world-cluster resources and research work 1832.
