The morning wind had not stopped.

The notice on the windowsill was even more restless than yesterday. A small stone pinned down one corner, yet the edges still lifted again and again, as if someone beneath it were secretly blowing. When Kiyo entered, he first looked at the line on the wall, then at the windowsill, and finally set down his schoolbag very slowly.

"It's in a bad mood today," he said.

Morita Yu stuffed his notebook into his desk. "Paper doesn't have moods."

"Then the wind does."

Naruto had already run to the window. Just as his hand was about to press down the paper, Saori gave a soft cough beside him. Naruto's hand froze in midair, only a little short of the paper corner.

"First see which way the wind is coming from," Saori said.

Naruto blinked, then really did turn to inspect the window crack. The wind was coming in from the right, flipping the paper corner to the left. The stone was pressing the middle, so no wonder it kept moving. He reached out to move the stone, then looked at Saori again.

Saori hugged her doll a little tighter. "You can move it. Don't cover the words."

Naruto carefully shifted the stone to the upper-right corner. The paper finally lay flat against the windowsill, with only its edge still trembling. Iruka-sensei entered through the door just in time to see it. He did not speak immediately, only set the chalk on the lectern first.

"Who did that?"

Naruto immediately raised his hand, then quickly lowered it a little. "I moved the stone."

"Who reminded you?"

Naruto pointed at Saori. "She told me to look at the wind."

Kiyo looked toward the line on the wall, his eyes brightening. "So who are we writing down today?"
