Actually, these were the only two he had no use for, so he hadn't bothered to erase their Summoning Contracts.
If they had been like the other five, he would have dealt with them already.
As for those five swords, he still hadn't melted them down and reforged them—his smithing skills weren't up to par yet.
He planned to wait until after visiting the Land of Crafts.
"Oh? There was something like that?"
The Third Hokage's expression turned serious. He nodded and immediately undid the scroll's seal to inspect it.
After confirming they were Samehada and the Explosive Blade, he resealed them and put them away.
"What about my Sword of the Thunder God?"
Uchiha Yan urged him again.
"All right, all right. I'll give it to you now."
The Third Hokage shook his head helplessly.
Could he really renege after agreeing to it? He didn't want this fellow to run wild in Konoha.
He called over an Anbu, handed him an authorization slip, and told him to retrieve the Sword of the Thunder God from the warehouse.
Once it arrived, the Third Hokage personally handed it to Uchiha Yan and said solemnly,
"This sword is an energy weapon. The stronger and more Chakra you put into it, the more powerful it becomes."
"I hope you can make it shine again instead of letting it go to waste."
With that, he passed the sword over.
On the surface, he remained calm and composed, but his heart was bleeding.
The more Uchiha Yan thought about it, the more he felt that he had gotten the short end of the deal.
"Relax. I never ruin good things when I come across them."
As he spoke, he took the Sword of the Thunder God and casually fed a thread of Chakra into it.
