His first try had brought him such a huge reward that he was thoroughly hooked on the Otherworld Summoning Art. He wanted to test his luck again.

Without another word, Uchiha Yan poured a hundred units of Chakra into the summoning array and activated it.
A pillar of light shot skyward again, piercing the void.
A few minutes later,
an egg the size of a basketball, patterned in blue and white, appeared out of thin air within the pillar of light at the center of the array and slowly descended to the ground.
As soon as the egg landed, the pillar of light faded.
"An egg? What's inside? It's certainly brimming with life."
Uchiha Yan stepped closer. Once he sensed no danger, he scooped up the egg.
He probed it with his mental power and found an enormous amount of it inside. But then he paused. "Is this... mental power?"
He sensed an energy seeping through the shell that closely resembled mental power.
"No."
Uchiha Yan shook his head. "It isn't pure mental power. It's more like a variation of it."
"It can sense my emotions and send its own feelings back to me?"
"Looks like you're no ordinary little thing."
Feeling the emotions coming from inside the egg, Uchiha Yan smiled.
Those emotions weren't coming through the Beast Taming Contract. The contract had been established, but perhaps because the little creature had yet to hatch, it remained dormant and hadn't truly activated.
I'll have to wait until it hatches, then.
Uchiha Yan felt a little helpless.
Fortunately, he could clearly sense no danger from the little creature inside. And though the contract was dormant, it was already deeply imprinted on its soul, so he wasn't worried about any surprises.
