History

Arashi first awakens the One-Tomoe Sharingan in his left eye after learning that his parents died on a mission. Although it is the Sharingan’s most basic form, its ability to clarify fast movement gives him an immediate combat advantage 1.

Fugaku later trains Arashi to use the eye’s basic powers by having him watch rapidly moving objects and memorize complex patterns 20. During a confrontation with Orochimaru, extreme pressure and anger cause a tomoe to form in Arashi’s right eye as well 14.

The one-tomoe stage ends after Arashi survives a battle in White Scale Valley but finds his teammates and the mission target dead. His grief is followed by a painful evolution to two tomoe in each eye 38.
