Susanoo manifests as a materialized chakra giant whose color, armament, and degree of completion vary with its user. Yuan’s forms are predominantly dark red and progress from skeletal defenses to a winged, tengu-armored warrior god; Itachi’s is orange-red, while Sasuke’s is purple. 2 29 49 52

Susanoo serves as a physical chakra barrier around its user, capable of intercepting attacks that would otherwise be fatal.
