The Guardian Ambushed

The Orc Lightbound under Archbishop Garrosh Hellscream were undoubtedly far stronger than the Draenei Lightbound from before. Their combat power was in no way inferior to the Glory Warband's, and they were even more fanatical, because they firmly believed that the Holy Light bestowed by the Naaru would protect them.

In truth, the key issue was that the Orc warriors of the Glory Warband could not bring themselves to strike these Lightbound Orcs down, because they were Orcs after all.

But the Lightbound Orcs did not think that way. Just like Archbishop Garrosh Hellscream, they believed that the green-skinned Orcs altered by fel energy and demon blood should be completely purified and vanish forever.

These Lightbound Orcs, who supposedly believed in the merciful Holy Light and the Naaru, were at this moment almost no different from the frenzied Orcs who had once drunk demon blood.

The Glory Warband vanguard was driven back by the Lightbound Orcs, slowly retreating toward the road connecting the Blasted Lands and the Swamp of Sorrows. In such a short time, even War Master Zog had not yet built sturdy fortifications. The battle was developing in the worst possible direction.

Just then, a wall formed entirely from violet arcane energy rose straight from the ground, shielding the Glory Warband vanguard behind it and blocking the Lightbound Orcs.

Without even trying to understand what the arcane barrier before them was, the halted Lightbound Orcs shouted, "For the Naaru!" and viciously smashed their weapons against it.

The instant their weapons touched the arcane wall, the Lightbound Orcs felt as though they had struck soft cotton. The arcane wall absorbed all the force of the impact. Then, with a shriek, the Lightbound Orcs were hurled backward as every bit of force from their attacks rebounded upon them.
