"Don't make me say it twice! Put down your weapon! This is a restaurant—only food and music are allowed here, or get the hell out of my establishment!"
"The mission has not yet been completed. The dangerous individual may still incite unrest. I cannot put down my weapon."
"[Leithanien profanity!] Don't think I'm scared of you just because you have a hand cannon!"
The more he spoke, the angrier the owner became. He picked up his staff and stormed out from behind the bar, while Federico reflexively raised his hand cannon.
"My sincere apologies, sir."
Gregor grabbed Federico's arm with one hand and forcibly pressed it down despite the strength that could have bent steel bars.
"My friend was a little nervous and caused you some trouble. This is compensation for you."
"What compensation? You think I would—oh! Ahem, ahem. I can already feel your sincerity."
After seeing the owner tuck that weighty sincerity into his clothes, Gregor nodded to the others and took the lead in dragging the deadlocked siblings away.
Once outside, he pulled the two of them beneath the shade of a tree.
"Let's be clear beforehand: don't start fighting when I let go."
After considering it, Gregor added another sentence.
"Using lethal firepower in public would be bad for both the Notarial Hall's and Laterano's image."
Federico nodded, and only then did Gregor release him.
He indeed did not attack, but he did not lower his hand cannon either. Instead, he simply stared at the spot where Gregor had grabbed him.
