Liu Yunfeng first arrives at Locust Tree Alley with three runners to investigate Chen Cheng's fight with Widow Tian, Second Fool, and Ma Liu. After hearing Chen's account and recognizing his connection to Chief Jiang Cheng, Liu rules that Chen acted in self-defense. He then compels Widow Tian to honor her loan note to Chen's late father. 9
