Gu Heng looked at the line. "Is this Class B's official decision?"
"It's a temporary boundary for cooperation," Ichinose said. "Until the source has been confirmed through both parties' accounts, Class B will no longer accept her cards."
"Will you still accept fields from Class D?"
"Only fields that clearly state their level and the person responsible."
That did not make Class B trust Class D again. It only returned their cooperation to a verifiable track.
Karuizawa arrived at the stern reception area that afternoon.
She had not brought Gu Heng, nor had she brought any pages.
Ichinose stood by the window and turned off the recording device first.
"This time, we'll only discuss what you're willing to discuss."
Karuizawa nodded. "I'll only say this once."
She placed a blank card on the table, with no name and no page number written on it.
"What I'm withdrawing is permission for public cross-verification."
"Not deleting the records?"
"No."
"Not denying Class D's class settlement?"
"No."
Ichinose did not press further. She only wrote those three points down as anonymous boundary fields.
Karuizawa watched her pen. "Don't turn my words into Class B's position."
"I'll only preserve the scope you agree to."
"Then preserve only the scope."
This time, Gu Heng was not there to explain in the middle, and Karuizawa was not forced to answer a question beyond the page.
Ichinose pushed the card back toward her. "Class B will respect this withdrawal, but we won't prove anything
