Background / History

Horikita enters Advanced Nurturing High School as a member of Class 1-D. She takes the seat beside Yuto Hayashi, both on the bus and in the classroom, and maintains that position despite her discomfort with having someone behind her when leaving the room 1 2.

From the first days of school, she closely monitors Yuto’s behavior. She repeatedly challenges his distracted expressions and suspects that he is concealing his real thoughts, while also sharing his doubts about the school’s unusually generous point system 2 3.

After observing Class D for over a week, Horikita compiles a folder evaluating classmates’ strengths, personalities, weaknesses, and potential usefulness.
