Ch. 501Golden Lion versus Bullet

Little Azure destroyed Golden Lion Shiki’s floating islands, killed Byrnndi World, and knocked Shiki into the plaza. Bullet then attacked Shiki, who fought back with Oto and Kogarashi.

  • Little Azure shattered the five islands Shiki had sent toward the Gran Tesoro and drew Shiki’s attention.
  • Byrnndi World used his Momo-Momo Fruit to strike Little Azure, but the dragon burned him to ashes.
  • Little Azure knocked Shiki into a crater, while Leo’s order to spare him for his Float-Float Fruit was revealed.
  • Shiki flew out of the crater but found himself too weakened to use Haki, as the other pirate crews watched without intervening.
  • Bullet charged at Shiki, who launched flying slashes with Oto and Kogarashi; Bullet endured them without injury.

Ch. 502The Red Hair Pirates wiped out

Golden Lion Shiki attacked the Hunter Association, but the Twelve Zodiacs defeated him and Leo captured him. When Shanks demanded his release, Leo killed Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates before declaring the Association open and insisting the frightened crowd participate in its next demonstrations.

  • Golden Lion Shiki fought Bullet, but Tesoro's control of the gold prevented Shiki from using his Devil Fruit ability against him.
  • Leo ordered Morel and the others to join the fight, and the Twelve Zodiacs quickly knocked Shiki unconscious and pinned him down.
  • Bullet carried Shiki away, but Shanks stepped forward and asked Leo to release him to preserve the balance of the seas.
  • Leo agreed to spare Shiki if Shanks could take one punch, then killed him with a single blow that reduced him to blood mist.
  • Leo killed the remaining Red Hair Pirates, including Benn Beckman, before announcing the Hunter Association's opening.
  • When Leo said the crowd would take part in demonstrations, the thousands of attendees turned back and eagerly agreed.

Ch. 503Introducing the Hunter Association, Shocking News

Key plot points and events

  • The Hunter Association opens its headquarters to a crowd of pirates, nobles, ordinary people, and disguised CP0 and Revolutionary Army agents. Visitors are astonished by its modern lobby, computers, surveillance equipment, security force, and a conspicuous mound of gold.
  • Leo watches the crowd from the surveillance room. Kastro reports that Golden Lion Shiki is secured in the basement and heavily sedated; Sophia confirms preparations are complete.
  • Leo and the Zodiacs enter the lobby. He explains that the Association accepts commissions, assigns them to registered hunters, and guarantees payment and points according to each job’s difficulty and risk.
  • Leo presents the points system and the rare goods members can earn, including Life Water, Nitrolomi, Endless Stone, and several Devil Fruits. He reveals that Kaido’s Fish-Fish Fruit, Azure Dragon Model, is now in the Association’s possession because Kaido is dead.
  • Leo promises that a determined hunter could claim the fruit and become one of the new Four Emperors. His announcement electrifies the crowd.

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo appears confident and ambitious, using the Association’s advanced facilities and valuable rewards to impress visitors and recruit hunters. He turns Kaido’s death into a bold promise of opportunity and upheaval.
  • Morel, Knuckle, Sophia, Kastro, Nico, Kalluto, Shizuku, Baccarat, Hisoka, Bullet, Shoot, and Asher accompany Leo, presenting a united show of authority. Kastro gives Leo a security update, while Sophia confirms the event is ready.
  • The visitors shift from stunned curiosity to intense interest as Leo describes the rewards. Some pirates quietly assess the guards, but surveillance and the threat of force discourage them.
  • The disguised CP0 observer studies the lobby’s defenses, then stops when he notices its mirrors and cameras, suggesting the Association is alert to surveillance.

Significant themes

  • Technology and power: The Association’s modern equipment makes it seem almost otherworldly in a world where such technology is rarely available to ordinary people.
  • Ambition and social mobility: Registration is open to anyone, and points offer a route to extraordinary wealth, strength, or status.
  • Control through spectacle and security: Gold, impressive facilities, guards, cameras, and a carefully staged announcement build both attraction and deterrence.
  • A changing balance of power: With Kaido dead and his Devil Fruit available, Leo presents the Association as a force capable of reshaping the sea’s hierarchy.

Ch. 504Hunter Association Commissions Announced, Sending Shockwaves Through the Crowd

Key plot points and events

  • Leo announces the Fish-Fish Fruit, formerly Kaido’s, and the Dark-Dark Fruit, describing their immense power and offering them as potential rewards for completing Hunter Association commissions. The crowd reacts with shock and greed, but Leo’s calm presence keeps anyone from making a move.
  • The Beasts Pirates’ All-Stars—King, Queen, and Jack—are devastated by the news of Kaido’s death. Jack charges Leo, and King and Queen follow, anticipating that the Association will not let them escape.
  • Hisoka and Kastro intercept the trio. Tesoro secretly weakens them by manipulating gold dust on their bodies, and the All-Stars are defeated, bloodied, and taken away in Seastone restraints.
  • Morel reports that three people have slipped toward the Association’s rear. Leo identifies them as CP0 agents and orders Kalluto, Shizuku, and Baccarat to deal with the intruders.
  • Leo unveils more than twenty commissions, offering money and points for tasks ranging from hunting individuals and collecting Devil Fruits or rare weapons to attacking Marines, Wano, and Emperor crews. His aim is to throw the pirate world into chaos.

Character developments

  • Leo remains controlled and confident, using the crowd’s hunger for power to advance his plans. He knows about the CP0 agents and treats the All-Stars’ attack as a minor interruption.
  • Jack is shown as impulsive and fiercely loyal to Kaido; grief and disbelief drive him to attack without considering the consequences.
  • King and Queen initially appear shaken by Kaido’s apparent death, but follow Jack into battle, recognizing they are already trapped.
  • Hisoka and Kastro eagerly engage the All-Stars, while Tesoro contributes covertly rather than openly.
  • Katakuri and the other onlookers choose not to intervene, judging that fighting Leo would be suicidal and that they have no direct grievance with him.

Significant themes

  • Power and temptation: The rare fruits and enormous rewards stir ambition, but possessing power does not guarantee survival.
  • Recklessness and consequence: Jack’s loyalty becomes rash aggression, and the All-Stars are swiftly overwhelmed.
  • Manipulation and manufactured chaos: Leo uses commissions, money, and desirable targets to turn the world’s factions against one another.
  • Control beneath spectacle: The crowd sees a public display of opportunity, while Leo quietly manages both the battlefield and the hidden threat of CP0.

Character interactions

  • Leo’s presentation provokes the crowd, while his composure discourages them from acting on their greed.
  • Jack’s attack draws King and Queen after him; Hisoka and Kastro block their charge, with Tesoro secretly tipping the fight in their favor.
  • Morel informs Leo about the agents, and Leo delegates the response to Kalluto, Shizuku, and Baccarat.
  • The commissions invite the crowd to pursue targets across the world, setting up conflicts among pirates, Marines, and other powers.

Ch. 505Hunting Contract: Saint Imu

Plot points and events

  • The Hunter Association’s contract board shocks the crowd with targets ranging from Marine officers and Emperors to the Revolutionary Army, Celestial Dragons, the Five Elders, and the secret ruler Saint Imu. The Imu contract offers an enormous reward, while the contracts against the Elders reveal that the Association is openly challenging the World Government.
  • Pirates consider easier, lucrative targets, especially hunting in Wano, while CP0 agents recognize the danger and hurry to report the contracts to the Five Elders.
  • Dragon, the Red Count, and Marco realize the contracts must have been posted by the Association itself—and infer that Leo is behind the move. They anticipate widespread chaos and are stunned to learn the World Government has a hidden supreme ruler.
  • A reporter leaves to publish the story. Leo then explains how hunters can spend points on powerful abilities, Devil Fruits, money, and life-extending or restorative items.
  • Leo leaves Morel to manage the Association and appears on its rooftop, waiting for the Five Elders or Imu. He has deliberately exposed Imu’s existence.
  • In Mary Geoise, the Five Elders receive the report and erupt in anger at Leo for revealing Imu and placing them on the board.

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo emerges as a deliberate provocateur: he uses the Association’s contracts and rewards to attract hunters, destabilize the world, and draw the World Government’s leaders out.
  • Morel accepts responsibility for running the Association while Leo departs.
  • Dragon, the Red Count, and Marco recognize the political consequences of the contracts, though each reacts with grave concern.
  • The CP0 agents respond with alarm and prioritize informing the Five Elders.
  • The Five Elders shift from receiving the news to furious outrage, viewing Leo’s challenge to Imu as intolerable.

Significant themes

  • Power and temptation: Huge bounties and valuable rewards encourage people to take risks and pursue targets.
  • Public exposure and political upheaval: Revealing Imu’s existence threatens the World Government’s carefully concealed authority.
  • Escalating conflict: The Association’s public contracts turn bounty hunting into a direct challenge to major powers, foreshadowing chaos across the sea.

Ch. 506Saint Saturn of the Five Elders descends

Saint Saturn descended to the Gran Tesoro with Saint Grin to purge the ship, but Leo killed Saturn instantly. Saint Grin sensed that Leo had turned his deadly attention toward him.

  • The Five Elders decided to send the Knights of God to handle the situation, and Saint Figarland Garling arrived with Lord Imu’s order for Saint Saturn to descend and purge the ship.
  • A magic circle appeared in the Gran Tesoro’s plaza, and Saint Saturn emerged in his monster form with Saint Grin.
  • Saint Saturn used Evil Eye to kill several onlookers, while Saint Grin headed toward the Hunter Association headquarters.
  • Leo left the rooftop and crushed Saint Saturn’s head with one hand.
  • Saint Grin saw Saturn’s body fall and felt Leo’s killing intent make him fear for his life.

Ch. 507Saint Saturn of the Five Elders, Dead!

Key plot points and events

  • Leo uses overwhelming Nen Pressure to pin Saint Grin to the plaza, while bystanders watch from a distance, unaware of who the fighters are.
  • The narration explains that Saint Saturn’s immortality comes from a copper heart within his body; Conqueror’s Haki can slow his regeneration but cannot kill him.
  • Kizaru considers intervening, but Leo warns that he will kill every Marine nearby—and even the fleet offshore—if they move. Kizaru decides the Five Elders’ lives matter more than the Marines’, and prepares to attack.
  • Leo punches through Saint Grin’s chest, crushes his heart, and kills him, gaining experience.
  • Kizaru attacks from behind, but Leo avoids the strike. Saint Saturn revives and swings at Leo; Leo appears behind him and pierces his chest, bringing him down as well.
  • Leo invites Kizaru to join his side, arguing that the World Government will force him to kill Vegapunk. He offers to protect Vegapunk. Before Kizaru can respond, Leo kicks him away, giving him time to consider the offer.

Character developments

  • Leo demonstrates both immense power and strategic intent: he kills two highly placed World Government figures, then tries to recruit Kizaru by appealing to his loyalty to Vegapunk.
  • Kizaru is torn between his duty to protect the Five Elders and his concern for Vegapunk. His hesitation in the fight leaves him vulnerable, and Leo’s offer puts his loyalties under sharper pressure.
  • Saint Grin and Saint Saturn are revealed to rely on a hidden heart as the source of their immortality. Both die when Leo destroys or pierces it.

Significant themes

  • Power and vulnerability: Even supposedly immortal authorities can be killed once their weakness is exposed.
  • Corrupt hierarchy: Leo views the Celestial Dragons as pampered parasites, and Kizaru’s willingness to sacrifice ordinary Marines for a Five Elder underscores the regime’s brutal priorities.
  • Loyalty and moral choice: Kizaru must weigh obedience to the World Government against protecting Vegapunk, an old friend.
  • Public ignorance: The spectators mistake the clash for a fight between powerful strangers, highlighting how little ordinary people know about the rulers shaping their world.

Character interactions

  • Leo intimidates Saint Grin, then kills him by crushing his heart; he later kills Saint Saturn in a direct counterattack.
  • Kizaru ignores Leo’s warning and attacks to defend the Five Elders, but Leo evades him and later exploits his momentary distraction.
  • Leo offers Kizaru protection for Vegapunk as leverage to persuade him to defect, then sends him flying before he can answer.

Ch. 508Uranus, the Ancient Weapon

Leo killed the three CP0 agents, drove off a Marine fleet, and sensed Uranus targeting the Gran Tesoro. As Uranus gathered power overhead, Leo formed his Nuclear Explosion Sun to meet the attack.

  • Leo intercepted and killed all three fleeing CP0 agents, gaining experience.
  • Imu learned that Saint Saturn and Saint Grin had died and ordered the Five Elders to deploy Uranus against Leo's ship.
  • The Five Elders agreed to use Uranus despite having only one shot left and Vegapunk's unfinished Mother Flame research.
  • Leo destroyed two approaching Marine warships with Nen projectiles and warned the remaining Marines to retreat.
  • Leo sensed Uranus locking onto the Gran Tesoro, then formed his Nuclear Explosion Sun as Uranus gathered power above him.

Ch. 509Uranus Destroyed, the Red Count Joins the Hunter Association

Plot points and events

  • Leo and Uranus charge attacks simultaneously: Uranus gathers green destructive energy in the clouds, while Leo forms a massive, Haki-infused Nuclear Explosion Sun.
  • Uranus fires red beams across the Gran Tesoro, destroying buildings and killing people caught in the blasts. Leo’s golden attack then overwhelms Uranus, blasts away the clouds, and leaves the sky clear.
  • At Mary Geoise, Imu is hurt by Uranus’s destruction and reacts with fury.
  • Leo waits for the enemy to respond, but the remaining Five Elders and Imu do not appear. He decides to take the fight to Mary Geoise after handling matters nearby.
  • The Red Count approaches the Hunter Association, asking to join. Leo accepts and directs him to register at the front desk.

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo’s victory reinforces his allies’ confidence in him; they watch the battle calmly, trusting his undefeated record. He remains dismissive of Uranus and treats the Red Count’s recruitment casually.
  • Kizaru reflects on the injustices he has ignored as a Marine. Leo’s words have made him reconsider whether to choose a different path.
  • Barorick Redfield recognizes how far the world’s power has advanced and is troubled by his own decline. He considers ways to regain strength, then chooses the Hunter Association as a practical alternative.
  • Hisoka watches the battle with interest but knows he is still too weak to participate. Morel, Sophia, Shizuku, Kastro, and Goreinu remain confident in Leo.
  • Leo identifies Kizaru, the Red Count, and another figure approaching over the sea as loose ends to address.

Significant themes

  • Overwhelming power and changed times: Uranus’s destruction and Leo’s victory show how dramatically the world’s scale of power has shifted.
  • Choice and responsibility: Kizaru must decide whether to continue looking away from injustice or act differently.
  • Adaptation and belonging: Redfield faces the loss of his former standing and seeks a new way to regain relevance by joining the Hunter Association.

Ch. 510The Assault on Mary Geoise

Key plot points and events

  • Leo meets Kizaru at Gran Tesoro and confirms he intends to attack Mary Geoise. Kizaru agrees to join Leo if he survives, and Leo tells him to go to Egghead and bring Vegapunk.
  • Aokiji arrives after leaving the Marines. He asks to join Leo’s team, and Leo accepts, directing him to the Hunter Association and Morel.
  • Leo flies to Mary Geoise, intending to retaliate for the weapon used against his territory and draw Imu out.
  • He senses Imu and other powerful figures within the complex, then creates a giant Nen dragon above the city. Its dispersed projectiles rain down on the Celestial Dragons’ residential district, deliberately avoiding areas with many enslaved people. The attack begins as the chapter ends.

Character developments and interactions

  • Kizaru drops his usual nonchalance long enough to ask whether Leo’s promise is genuine. Though wary of Leo’s plan, he shows growing trust by offering to join him afterward.
  • Aokiji has definitively left the Marines and chooses Leo’s organization over joining the Blackbeard Pirates. He is surprised by Leo’s easy acceptance but acknowledges Leo’s overwhelming strength.
  • Leo acts with confidence and calculated brutality: he welcomes powerful recruits, makes his intentions clear, and targets the Celestial Dragons while trying to spare the enslaved.

Significant themes

  • Revenge and retribution: Leo frames the assault as payback for the attack on his territory.
  • Power and loyalty: Kizaru and Aokiji consider joining Leo because of his strength and the direction he offers.
  • Resistance to oppression: Leo targets the Celestial Dragons’ district while avoiding slave concentrations, distinguishing his intended victims from those they exploit.
  • A looming confrontation: The bombardment is designed not only to punish Mary Geoise but also to force Imu into the open.

Ch. 511The Slap Descends

Plot points and events

  • Leo surveys the destruction he has unleashed on Mary Geoise, hoping to draw out the unresponsive presence inside Pangaea Castle—Imu—but gets no reaction.
  • More than a hundred CP0 agents, Knights of God, and castle guards confront him. Leo kills them all almost instantly, gaining enough experience to rise from level 307 to level 308.
  • He moves through the city’s prisons, breaking the slaves’ shackles and opening their cells. Some escape or take up weapons, while others are too traumatized, hopeless, or afraid to leave.
  • Leo continues killing guards who attack him. On a ruined street, two Celestial Dragons try to shoot him and order him to kneel. Their bullets do no harm.
  • Leo beats the middle-aged Celestial Dragon, tears off his gun arm, and throws him down, then crushes his limbs underfoot as the other Celestial Dragon watches.

Character developments

  • Leo remains controlled and contemptuous toward the World Government’s fighters, but his anger becomes personal and overt when the Celestial Dragons demand obedience. He deliberately prolongs the middle-aged man’s suffering rather than killing him immediately.
  • The freed slaves show varied responses to liberation: hope and gratitude in some, numbness or fear in others, emphasizing how deeply captivity has damaged them.
  • The Celestial Dragons are exposed as entitled and helpless when confronted with someone their status and weapons cannot control.

Character interactions

  • Leo dismisses the assembled fighters’ threats, killing their leader before he can finish speaking and then wiping out the group.
  • He frees the prisoners but leaves the choice to escape to them, acknowledging that they respond differently to their release.
  • The two Celestial Dragons try to assert their supposed divine authority over Leo. He ignores their bullets and answers their insults with a brutal, humiliating assault; the second one watches and asks his injured companion whether it hurts.

Significant themes

  • Power and status: The Celestial Dragons’ authority proves meaningless against Leo’s strength.
  • Liberation and trauma: Escape offers hope, but freedom cannot instantly undo the psychological and physical harm of slavery.
  • Revenge and violence: Leo’s attack shifts from military destruction to personal punishment, raising the question of whether his actions are liberation, vengeance, or both.

Ch. 512Sinking Mary Geoise

Plot points

  • Leo storms Mary Geoise, killing the Celestial Dragons and guards he encounters, including two Dragons whose bodies he shatters before finishing them.
  • He finds more Dragons torturing slaves, kills most of them, and forces one survivor to lead him to the family treasury. He takes three Devil Fruits from the vault and has Asher and Shizuku remove its treasure.
  • Leo and his companions raid other Celestial Dragon residences, killing, burning, and looting. They collect more than twenty Devil Fruits, which the Dragons had kept for tormenting slaves.
  • After sending Asher and Shizuku away, Leo waits for the remaining four Five Elders. They arrive and transform into powerful awakened Mythical Zoan creatures, then attack him together.
  • Leo evades their assault and summons a massive, flame-wreathed golden sun. Planning to draw out the hidden Imu, he brings it down on the Elders and Mary Geoise.
  • Imu senses the approaching threat in the Flower Room, but the strike destroys the entire Holy Land, leaving a vast, heat-scorched crater.

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo is ruthless toward the Celestial Dragons and their enforcers, but focused and strategic: he gathers Devil Fruits and treasure, summons allies for the looting, then deliberately escalates the fight to target Imu.
  • Asher and Shizuku assist Leo by using Shizuku’s ability, Blinky, to clear the treasuries quickly before returning to the Hunter Association.
  • The Five Elders respond to the invasion with a coordinated attack, revealing their awakened Mythical Zoan forms, but Leo overwhelms them.
  • Imu remains confident that Mary Geoise’s defenses will handle intruders—until Leo’s attack finally disturbs his composure.

Significant themes

  • Revenge and upheaval: Leo’s assault turns Mary Geoise’s apparent invulnerability into total ruin.
  • Dehumanization and cruelty: The Dragons treat people as property and entertainment; Leo’s violence is presented as retaliation against that system.
  • Power and arrogance: Imu’s long-standing confidence in his unshakable position is challenged by an attack powerful enough to erase the Holy Land.

Ch. 513Imu versus Leo

Plot points and events

  • After a devastating attack reduces Mary Geoise to a crater, Leo senses Imu still alive beneath the rubble.
  • Imu emerges badly wounded, but Leo lets him heal. Imu restores himself completely in seconds.
  • Imu attacks with a shifting blade and axe, homing black fireballs, and a demonic-energy punch. None can penetrate or harm Leo; Leo casually deflects the punch.
  • Imu recognizes that Leo’s durability is unlike anything he has encountered. With Mary Geoise destroyed and his attacks ineffective, he begins preparing a new technique, Black Turn Domination, apparently a “covenant.”

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo remains relaxed and confident, even joking about Imu’s appearance and treating his attacks like an entertaining display. He openly admits he destroyed Mary Geoise to force Imu out of hiding.
  • Imu shifts from anger and confidence to wary concern as his weapons and abilities fail. He reveals that this is the first time he has been wounded in over eight hundred years, and his attention turns toward finding another way to defeat Leo.
  • Their exchange is direct and antagonistic: Imu condemns Leo for destroying the holy land, while Leo mocks him for hiding and challenges him to continue or surrender.

Significant themes

  • Power and invulnerability: Imu’s formidable abilities are rendered ineffective by Leo’s extraordinary toughness.
  • Pride and provocation: Leo deliberately destroys Mary Geoise to draw out its hidden ruler, while Imu’s outrage underscores his attachment to the holy land.
  • Escalation and uncertainty: As conventional attacks fail, Imu prepares an unfamiliar tactic, leaving the outcome unresolved.

Ch. 514Imu, the Human Punching Bag

Plot points

  • Imu begins casting Black Turn Domination, a lengthy ritual promising Leo an undying body and immense power in exchange for part of his lifespan. Leo deliberately waits, confident his Flesh Immaculate will resist it.
  • Imu’s Demon Contract creates a magic circle beneath Leo and tries to drag him in, but Leo remains unmoved. Imu realizes the ability has failed.
  • Leo attacks. Imu blocks him with the Void-Chaos Shield, whose force throws Leo back, then marks him with demonic energy and strikes with the Vengeful Demon Sword. The blade breaks on impact, and Leo’s chest wound heals almost immediately.
  • Leo activates Final Moment and begins a devastating counterattack. He breaks Imu’s bones, then repeatedly catches and batters him through the air. Imu cannot keep up or mount an effective response.

Character developments and interactions

  • Leo is confident, curious about Imu’s many powers, and amused by the failed ritual. Rather than interrupting Imu’s casting, he lets him complete it to demonstrate his own resilience. Once Imu has had his turn, Leo escalates and overwhelms him.
  • Imu begins composed and certain that no one can resist his contract. Its failure shakes him; Leo’s survival of his strongest attacks leaves him gravely unsettled. He tries to defend himself, but is reduced to a helpless target.

Significant themes

  • Power versus control: Imu’s elaborate domination magic fails against Leo’s innate durability and strength.
  • Overconfidence and reversal: Imu assumes his abilities are irresistible, only for Leo to let him expend his power before taking control.
  • A mismatch in combat: Imu’s varied techniques briefly impress Leo, but the chapter’s final image is one-sided: Imu becomes a “human punching bag” against Leo’s overwhelming speed and force.

Ch. 515Imu's second form

Key plot points and events

  • Leo relentlessly overpowers Imu above the Red Line, hurling him into the ground and leaving the area shattered.
  • Leo’s allies arrive on Little Azure. Morel films the battle, while Nico links the group through the Network Canopy. Leo tells them to reveal publicly that Imu is the World Government’s hidden ruler and that the Five Elders, Celestial Dragons, and Mary Geoise are gone.
  • Imu rises badly injured and transforms into a demonic second form, gaining greater speed and strength.
  • Imu launches a furious barrage of punches, kicks, wings, and tail strikes, but Leo’s “Conversion” ability boosts his defense. Imu’s attacks cannot injure him.
  • Imu’s enormous black-flame projectile also fails to harm Leo. Leo declares that the fight is over, gets behind Imu, and drives him back into the ground. The chapter ends with Leo powering up his fist for another attack.

Character developments

  • Leo remains playful and confident even while being attacked, treating the battle as a test of Imu’s strength. He shifts from indulging the fight to ending it decisively.
  • Imu reveals a more powerful second form and briefly takes the offensive, but his increased power still cannot overcome Leo’s defense.
  • Morel, Nico, Hisoka, and the others support Leo by documenting and broadcasting the battle rather than joining it directly.

Significant themes

  • Power and dominance: Imu’s transformation raises his strength, but Leo remains overwhelmingly superior.
  • Public truth and accountability: Broadcasting the battle exposes Imu’s identity and the destruction of the World Government’s ruling elite.
  • Spectacle and humiliation: Leo’s taunts and Imu’s public defeat turn the fight into a display meant for witnesses.

Character interactions

  • Leo mocks Imu’s appearance and tells him his attacks are too weak, provoking him to escalate.
  • Imu responds with a full assault and a powerful fire attack, but Leo withstands both and counters from behind.
  • Morel and Nico coordinate with Leo to ensure the outside world sees and hears what has happened.

Ch. 516Imu's death

Leo killed Imu after breaking through his defenses and tearing his regenerated demon form apart, gaining several levels from the kill. The ruins of Mary Geoise lay in a crater as seawater began flowing into the fissure, and Leo realized he had forgotten to secure Imu’s fruit.

  • Leo struck Imu with a massive golden attack that shattered his Void-Chaos Shield and blasted him into a deep crater in the Red Line.
  • Imu regenerated, transformed into a mindless demon, and charged at Leo, who repeatedly smashed him into the ground.
  • Leo tore Imu in half and crushed his heart, killing him and advancing from level 308 to level 312.
  • Leo realized he had forgotten to take Imu’s fruit before killing him.
  • Mary Geoise lay in ruins as seawater flowed into the fissure across the Red Line.

Ch. 517Heading to the moon

After the destruction of Mary Geoise, Leo directed the Hunter Association to prepare for the World Government’s collapse and set out for the moon to find Enel and his Rumble-Rumble Fruit. The Marines and former World Government allies began adjusting to Leo’s new dominance as he flew into space with Little Azure.

  • At Marine Headquarters, Tsuru, Sengoku, Garp, and Akainu agreed that the Marines must avoid provoking Leo, and Akainu ordered them to stay away from the Gran Tesoro.
  • On Egghead Island, Kizaru told Vegapunk they should leave for the Hunter Association, and Vegapunk agreed after finishing his work.
  • Leo returned to the Hunter Association with Morel, Hisoka, Nico, and the others, then ordered Morel to prioritize finding Imu’s Devil Fruit and monitor the Revolutionary Army while leaving the Marines alone.
  • Leo told the others he was going to the moon to seek Enel’s Rumble-Rumble Fruit, then mounted Little Azure and flew into space.

Ch. 518Old-timers had their worldview reshaped

Leo traveled toward the moon with Little Azure while Dragon asked the Hunter Association to let the Revolutionary Army compete with the Marines to govern the seas. Kuzan, Bullet, and the Red Count learned that countless worlds existed beyond their own and that Hunter Association points could earn them a chance to visit one.

  • Leo grew bored during the long flight through space and rested against Little Azure as they continued toward the moon.
  • Dragon told Morel, Kastro, and Sophia that the Revolutionary Army wanted to liberate oppressed nations, abolish slavery, and manage the seas under the Hunter Association's oversight.
  • Morel, Kastro, and Sophia agreed to let the Revolutionary Army compete with the Marines to maintain balance across the seas.
  • Nico, Goreinu, and Shoot explained the universe, other inhabited planets, and Leo's ability to travel between worlds to Kuzan, Bullet, and the Red Count.
  • Kuzan, Bullet, and the Red Count became excited by the prospect of exploring other worlds, and the Red Count asked to trade points for a chance to visit one.
  • Morel confirmed that the Red Count could use points for a trip to another world, and the Red Count decided to take a commission.

Ch. 519The end, and a new beginning

Leo and the Hunter Association brought Vegapunk and Enel into their plans, then spent ten years reshaping the One Piece world and growing stronger. With nothing left to pursue there, Leo opened a gateway to another world and led the others through it.

  • Kizaru joined the Hunter Association, and Vegapunk moved his brain data center there with his satellites; Leo warned Morel that York was a traitor and ordered them to eliminate her.
  • Leo reached the moon, found Enel in Biruka, defeated him, and told Morel to extract the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
  • Leo tasked Vegapunk with developing a safe way to consume two Devil Fruits, and Vegapunk agreed to prioritize the Association’s requests.
  • Over the next ten years, the Marines and Stability Army maintained order under the Hunter Association’s supervision, while Leo, Morel, and the others reached far higher levels.
  • Vegapunk developed a way to consume two Devil Fruits, and Leo ate the Devil Fruit and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit after the Devil Fruit was recovered from a captured pirate.
  • Ten years later, Leo opened a gateway in the Association’s conference room and led his companions through it to a new world.
