After the battle ended, Ye Ting and the centaurs said nothing. They silently cleaned up the battlefield.
Ye Ting used a temporarily Transfigured sword to dissect the fire dragon. Multitasking, he collected all sorts of materials from the dragon's corpse while using an automatic quill to record anatomical diagrams of the fire dragon in his notebook.
Meanwhile, the centaurs bandaged the wounded, gathered the arrows that had been fired, and collected the bodies of the fallen.
Fortunately, Ye Ting had arrived in time, so aside from the two corpses from the beginning, the centaur tribe suffered no further losses.
Before long, both sides had finished their work.
The centaur leader brought his tribesmen before Ye Ting.
"Hello, little colt." He greeted Ye Ting gently. "I am Margery, leader of the Forbidden Forest centaur tribe. On behalf of the centaur tribe, I thank you for your help."
Ye Ting introduced himself as well. "My name is Ye Ting. I'm a first-year student at Hogwarts."
At those words, surprise appeared on the centaurs' faces. Having been neighbors with Hogwarts for so many years, they knew what a first-year was, yet Ye Ting's performance had clearly surpassed that of most adult wizards. They could not help but admire him.
"You are a powerful little colt." Margery looked at him solemnly and spoke slowly. "Not only do you possess powerful magic, but you also have a kind heart. I thank you for saving us from the evil dragon's claws. A wizard who steps forward in times of danger is worthy of our respect."
