The appearance of Mystra Academy's mages, the existence of the unheard-of goddess of magic, Hecate, the fact that the "Divine Bull" did not belong to the Colchis Kingdom but was leased from Mystra Academy, the mages' disdainful attitude toward the gods...

Every one of these strange occurrences made Jason realize one thing: behind the Colchis Kingdom, a vast hidden force was concealed.

He had originally thought that the Colchis Kingdom was merely the territory of an outdated god's son.

But now he discovered that this country's hidden strength might be even greater than he had imagined.

For a time, avenging his companions no longer mattered. Jason realized that if they could not truly uncover Colchis's secrets, they might fare even worse in tomorrow's second trial than they had in the first.

Thus, despite the "grudge of having his wife stolen" between him and Ye Ting, he sought Ye Ting out after returning to their camp.

"Goddess Hecate? Why are you asking about her? Of course I know her." Facing Jason's question, Ye Ting readily answered, "Goddess Hecate is the goddess of the Magic Web. She controls the world's Magic Web and the flow of magic power. She is the master of magic, the guardian deity of all mages and creatures that use magic power. Although she is not one of the Twelve Olympians, she is a deity who can stand alongside the great god Zeus."

In truth, Ye Ting knew far more about Hecate than he had told Jason. He even knew many private details about Goddess Hecate that Hecate herself did not know.

Naturally, however, Ye Ting would not tell Jason that much.
