Bastet [Second Update]

Bastet, the cat goddess, was a goddess of war and a guardian deity in the Heliopolitan Pantheon. She presided over war, protection, music, dance, family, and the moon, holding a status in the Heliopolitan Pantheon similar to Athena's.

However, unlike Athena and Zeus, who could barely stand the sight of each other, Bastet and Ra had a much better relationship. During the Sun Boat's daily patrols, she was responsible for fighting the Sun God Ra's greatest enemy, the Serpent of Chaos, Apophis.

From this alone, her combat power was not to be underestimated. At the very least, she ranked among the chief gods.

However, she had now lost the power of a god and was like a fantasy species fit to be savored.

Though her strength still placed her among the very strongest fantasy species, without divine power, it was nearly impossible for her to regain the strength of her prime.

There was naturally a reason why Bastet had relinquished her divine rank and followed Ye Ting back to Greece.

Within the Heliopolitan Pantheon, most of Ra's principal deities were his descendants. Bastet alone was an exception.

The cat goddess had originally been a divine beast that ascended into godhood. At first, she had been worshipped by the primitive humans of Lower Egypt. Though she had been powerful as a divine beast, she had never, over all those years, met another "kindred spirit" with power comparable to her own. The only humans she could communicate with had such short lives, and this left the goddess steeped in profound loneliness.

Later, when the Heliopolitan Pantheon arrived, the lonely Bastet voluntarily joined them because she found them "interesting" and considered them "kindred spirits with similar power."
