In fact, after making repeated attempts to hack in and inviting Hermione, Cho Chang, and others from Mystra Academy, as well as Dantalian, to try, Ye Ting discovered that Mooncell was not malfunctioning.
When goddesses such as Dantalian, Aphrodite, and Artemis attempted to hack in, Mooncell's firewall occasionally had lapses, but overall, it functioned quite normally.
However, when Hermione, Cho Chang, and the others hacked in, Mooncell began to suffer frequent malfunctions and even generated logical contradictions within itself, creating major loopholes in its firewall. As a result, despite being mortals, Hermione and the others could enter Mooncell's deeper layers even more easily than the goddesses.
When Ye Ting personally attempted to hack in, Mooncell's response was... a crash.
Yes, it was as if it had completely frozen. Its dynamic defenses came to a total halt, while its static defenses were riddled with flaws. At least through the first four layers, Ye Ting moved as though he were in an empty house.
Why was this happening?
After some thought and experimentation, Ye Ting reached a conclusion.
It was still related to Mooncell's underlying logic.
Mooncell's original purpose was to observe Earth.
And this process had continued for nearly 4.6 billion years.
Over those 4.6 billion years, all the information and variables it had to process came from Earth itself, at most including exchanges of matter between space and Earth.
In other words, the logic behind its observations and simulations, as well as the source of its information, were all based on the Type-Moon world.
Mooncell was powerful—powerful enough to use its information and computational ability to simulate the future, even to the point of changing it:
To carry out more complete observations, Mooncell had to record the countless events of history. The computational device placed on the moon existed for
