For Princess Calia, Ye Ting's training was still far too grueling.
As the princess of Lordaeron, she had spent most of her early life pampered. Aside from voluntarily studying to become a priest and occasionally helping with church work, she had experienced very little hardship.
But compared to the daily routine Ye Ting had arranged, all of that was nothing.
On the first day of their journey, Calia could still barely endure. But an entire day of marching under load, combined with swordsmanship practice, left her utterly exhausted. When she collapsed into her soft sleeping bag, there was not a single spot on her body that did not ache. Even so, that did not stop the girl from falling asleep instantly.
By the second day, the girl finally could not hold on any longer.
"Brother Sandor... can I stop carrying something so heavy?"
An hour after the second day's journey began, Calia finally could not help asking the question.
"What, you can't take it anymore already?" Ye Ting turned to look at her.
Calia looked enviously at the man comfortably seated on the flying carpet ahead of her, then nodded.
"The armor and sword are both too heavy. I really can't walk with all this stuff... Could I put part of it down for now? Like carrying only the sword or wearing only the armor? Even training should be done step by step."
"Indeed, by ordinary standards, making a beginner like you carry a full set of equipment at all times is rather too much. Taking things step by step isn't a bad suggestion either." Ye Ting could not help pondering her words, rubbing his chin as though he were about to be persuaded.
"Right? Right? What I said makes sense, doesn't it?"
