Stepping onto this broad marble-paved avenue once more, Ye Ting gazed at the towering magic spires all around him and the magical creations found everywhere, feeling deeply moved for a moment.

Dalaran, the human capital of magic, was also where he had first established himself upon arriving in Azeroth.

Here, he had founded a new school of magic, gained tremendous renown, and used it to gradually climb to the peak of Alliance power.

Yet no matter what great achievements he had accomplished afterward, he had to admit that it was this city that had allowed him, fresh from the world of Harry Potter, to rise so quickly and make everything that followed possible.

Several decades had passed in the blink of an eye—far longer by his own timeline. Now that he had set foot in this city again, Dalaran had raised several new magic towers compared to the past, and the magical items popular in its streets and alleys had changed countless times. Yet the city as a whole remained much the same.

Ye Ting was fortunate. When he attempted to teleport into Dalaran, the "Spatial Coordinate Interference Barrier" that prevented teleportation spells had not been raised, sparing him from having to enter the city by the most troublesome means.

It seemed that the Scourge also understood Dalaran's strength and was not yet prepared to launch an assault.

Perhaps for that very reason, Ye Ting noticed that although the people on the streets had lost much of their former cheerfulness and hurried along with purpose, they were not particularly panicked.

The mages' pride, as well as their faith in magic and Dalaran, kept them from feeling too much fear in the face of the Scourge.

The sight eased Ye Ting's worries somewhat.
