That man was wrapped in blue arcs of electricity, every strand of his hair standing on end, his eyes blazing white. "You're the one who beat Zhang Kuang?" he asked, his voice crackling with static. "Not bad."
Li Ming did not answer.
This man's presence was more than a level stronger than Zhang Kuang's. "My name is Lei Ze," the man said with a grin. "I'm a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user."
He raised a hand, gathering a ball of lightning in his palm. "I heard you can fight?" He tossed the lightning ball around in his hand. "Today, I'm going to see how many bolts you can take."
Li Ming crushed out his cigarette. "Why not find out?"
Lei Ze smiled.
With a point of his finger, the lightning ball exploded into dozens of bolts that rained down from above.
Li Ming pushed off the ground and vanished from where he stood.
The lightning struck the deck, blasting apart the wooden planks and sending splinters flying. "You're pretty fast," Lei Ze clicked his tongue.
The next second, Li Ming appeared behind him.
His fist, wrapped in a fierce gust of wind, smashed straight toward the back of Lei Ze's head.
Lei Ze did not even turn around. "Bzzzt—"
A streak of lightning sprang from his body and shot directly at Li Ming.
Li Ming withdrew his fist and retreated three steps.
The lightning grazed the tip of his nose, filling the air with the stench of burning. "Not bad," Lei Ze said as he turned around. "Not many people can dodge that move."
Li Ming shook out his hand.
Though the lightning had not hit him, the arcs had still numbed half his arm. "Is that all you've got?"
