Another story has come to an end.
To sum it up.
I put a great deal of care into this book. Although the updates later on were pretty terrible due to pandemic duty shifts and such, I still did my best to maintain the quality.
But there was one issue: after a million words, it once again turned into immortals battling each other, drifting away from reality and losing its grounded feel.
This has always been one of my flaws as a writer. Once I pass a million words, it easily turns into aliens brawling it out. I forget my original intention, it stops feeling grounded, I don't enjoy writing it as much as I did at the start, and everyone doesn't enjoy reading it as much either.
For the past two or three years, I've been stuck in a writing bottleneck, trying hard to change. This book was, in fact, also the product of that attempt at change.
Now that I've finished it, I feel I've gone through another small period of transformation.
For my next book, I'm planning to try an urban story to avoid the problem of it becoming ungrounded later on. I'll release it next month, and I hope everyone will like it then.
