Martial arts experts and armies served two different purposes.

Martial arts experts were better at street fighting.

They excelled at fighting in complex environments.

Take Xinzheng as an example.

Suppose there were three thousand Innate Experts. Under the deployment of a professional tactical master, they engaged in street fighting. Without martial arts experts or Jianghu experts aiding the enemy, even the Qin Kingdom, with its tiger-and-wolf army, could forget about taking Xinzheng from the front.

There was only one viable method.

A siege.

Imagine it: a squad of a dozen or so Qin soldiers might only need to enter an alley before never coming out again. Even Innate Martial Artists would eventually exhaust their Internal Force in high-intensity combat and reach the limits of their stamina. But the coordinated teamwork of three thousand Innate Martial Artists was enough to let one group rest while another continued fighting, adopting different tactics according to the battlefield and grinding down the enemy's living strength.

During the day, their primary approach would be interception and defense.

Innate Martial Artists were still human, after all.

They would die under concentrated volleys from powerful crossbows.

But if they were merely targeted by three to five bows or crossbows—

In a relatively open environment—

That still posed no threat.

To truly threaten them, one generally needed more than ten bows or crossbows.

And a certain number of armored soldiers had to be added.

In other words, men responsible for close combat.

It could be said that even on open plains—

The kind without any cover at all—

Surrounding and killing a single Innate Martial Artist required a properly equipped fifty-man squad. Any fewer would only be divided and eliminated one by one by the Innate Martial Artist, whose extraordinary mobility would wipe them out completely.
