After activating the Force Heart, the Force Priest's body rapidly swelled as if inflated, while his physical abilities improved across the board. Most importantly, his strength increased by at least three to five times!
As the owner of a third-tier Force Heart Sequence,
the Force Priest's strength had already been beyond what ordinary third-tier Sequence users could match. After activating the Force Heart, his power reached a terrifying level!
The Force Priest felt an endless stream of strength coursing through his body. The sensation restored the confidence that had been fading from his chest. Feeling his heart pound like a war drum, he suddenly threw a punch at Su Xing's sword and roared,
"Let me show you what a true peak third-tier is!"
The violent force brought with it a howl of wind as it smashed toward Su Xing with utterly unreasonable ferocity.
So what if he was a mysterious expert? One punch from him could leave a huge crater in rock. Could this mysterious expert really block it?!
Boom!
The air exploded beneath his savage punch, forming a visible ring of air that blasted outward in all directions!
Yet beneath this terrifying punch, Su Xing did not retreat a single step. The black sword in his hand seemed limp and powerless as it lightly tapped the fist containing immense force—and his fist stopped dead.
"What?!"
The Force Priest's expression changed drastically. He knew exactly how powerful he was. Taking that punch without moving even an inch was almost impossible!
Yet Su Xing had done it dozens of times more effortlessly than even the easiest method he could imagine!
If they were not fighting, he could practically imagine Su Xing drinking tea while killing him at the same time. Killing the Force Priest while warming tea... wasn't that fucking ridiculous?!
At that moment, the Force Priest felt an incomparably terrifying sense of danger completely envelop him. Gritting his teeth, he charged straight at the top-floor window.
He knew Su Xing would never let him escape through the door.
Only by jumping off the building
could he have even the slightest chance of surviving!
His desire to live forced his body to erupt with unparalleled speed.
The air around the Force Priest seemed to be violently squeezed apart, producing ring after ring of air. In the blink of an eye, he shot past the other priests and arrived at the window.
As though showing off his escape from death, he looked back—but saw a scene that made his scalp go numb.
A pure white longsword flew toward him at an outrageously fast speed. Almost instantly, he realized he could not outrun it. He swiftly pulled a glass syringe filled with pure white energy from his robes. Just as he was about to inject it into himself, the pure white longsword directly pierced the Force Priest's heart.
Most of the light vanished from the Force Priest's eyes at once, and he collapsed to the floor. The glass syringe in his hand rolled away with a "clatter, clatter."
Through his fading consciousness, he vaguely saw Su Xing stroll over to the syringe and slowly pick it up. Then he heard the last words of his life.
"Such a good thing. Don't throw it around."
Su Xing wiped the dust off the glass syringe. Seeing the system react, he slipped it into his pocket.
He glanced at the Force Priest, stepped beside his corpse, and stomped his head apart. Blood mixed with chunks of flesh and a large amount of white fluid burst straight out of his skull.
Su Xing acted as if nothing had happened, smiling faintly as he said, "Heh heh, I don't have a habit of not finishing the job."
The remaining priests were nearly terrified senseless by Su Xing's strength. They had intended to let the Force Priest test Su Xing's capabilities first. At first, they had exchanged a few moves, but they never expected that in just a few blinks, the Force Priest would be slaughtered by this guy. They had not even been given a chance to help!
That kind of strength... was simply not something the few of them could contend with!
"Now it's your turn."
Su Xing rubbed the foot that had crushed the Force Priest's head against his body a few times, then turned around and leisurely looked at the remaining five priests. He raised his right hand and made a "5" gesture.
The Force Priest's sudden death
had driven the remaining Spirit Cult priests' vigilance toward Su Xing to an outrageous level.
They knew the mysterious expert was strong,
but they had not expected him to be this strong.
Every one of them stared at Su Xing without blinking, afraid that he would suddenly attack and reduce their already small numbers by one more.
Their only hope of surviving now was for all five of them to attack together and kill Su Xing outright. They absolutely could not let two more priests die mysteriously like before.
They exchanged glances and saw the resolve in one another's eyes.
Then the five priests each pulled a glass syringe containing pale white energy from their robes, preparing to inject themselves and make one final stand!
Every priest present was a ruthless figure who had participated in the Divine Wind Plan. The Divine Wind Plan sounded nice, but it was really just a suicide squad. Which priest willing to take part in such a plan was not a butcher who had killed countless people and treated life with contempt?
Thus, once their initial fear faded, an unprecedented will to fight to the death arose. Their eyes glowed crimson as they injected the syringes into their bodies without the slightest hesitation, each producing a "hiss."
One of the priests felt the immense power surge through him and suddenly began laughing maniacally, as though victory in the coming battle was already assured.
Su Xing narrowed his eyes.
He was a little unhappy.
To Su Xing, the desperate final struggle of these five priests meant losing a huge pile of swordsmanship points for no reason. He twisted his neck from side to side, producing a series of crackling sounds, then bared his pale teeth in a grin.
"What a waste of resources."
"I wonder... if I kill you directly, can I suck it back out of your bodies?"
Though they did not clearly hear what Su Xing had said, the priests all sensed the almost tangible killing intent radiating from him. One priest stepped forward first and roared,
"Who the fuck are you trying to impress?!"
"Today, we'll kill you!"
The first priest to charge out was rather thin, his body covered in blue-gray Sequence Energy. His imposing aura was even stronger than that of the Force Priest who had died miserably at Su Xing's hands!
With a flash, he suddenly vanished, then appeared directly not far in front of Su Xing as though he had teleported. A trail of tightly connected afterimages stretched behind him. Those afterimages were almost solid, like one clone after another packed closely together.
"What fast speed."
Su Xing gave a flat assessment.
He seemed completely uninterested in such tactics from his enemy.
And indeed, that was the case.
It was fast, very fast—but to Su Xing, it was all flashy nonsense.
Seeing their companion charge out first, the other priests also rushed toward Su Xing.
Sequence Energy of various colors glowed across their bodies, their auras all faintly surpassing the peak of the third tier. Having learned from the Force Priest's fate, they stayed close together. They would never give Su Xing another one-on-one opportunity. They had to join forces and kill him directly!
The five priests were like five fierce tigers, charging at Su Xing from different directions with the same savage momentum!
Holding the black sword, with White Blade flickering along its edge, Su Xing stood where he was without retreating a single step. Over a thousand white lines floated around him, weaving and circling together before merging into a massive white longsword.
Five priests—one sword was enough!
The terrifying fluctuations made the five priests' pupils constrict sharply. An intense aura of death instantly enveloped them, as though they had fallen into an ice pit. Their fighting spirit scattered, and almost simultaneously, the five priests retreated violently.
At the same time, the Sequence Energy around their bodies instantly abandoned its attacking form and transformed into shield after shield before them. Every one of them was a third-tier Sequence user enhanced with energy, and the energy shields before them were nearly solid, indestructible.
Seeing their defenses take shape, quite a few priests breathed sighs of relief. Not one of them could possibly shatter such sturdy shields!
But the next second, Su Xing remained where he was and slashed forward with the black sword. Though the black sword cut through empty air, the white longsword beside him instantly pierced through the five priests!
Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!
In the darkness, five shattering sounds rang out in succession. The Sequence Energy shields before the five priests shattered like thin paper. Immediately afterward came their heads, which were severed by that slash before they had any time to react.
Splurt!
The five heads flew like smashed watermelons, striking the surrounding walls and bursting apart. Blinding red blood and a foul stench filled the air.
The five headless bodies were like five bloody fountains, spraying trickling streams of blood toward the ceiling. It stained the ceiling with a faint layer of red before falling back down, drenching both Su Xing and Su Yu.
Su Xing lightly released his right hand. Black motes of light swirled around him as he stepped through the night and blood toward the five headless corpses. When he reached one of them, he lightly patted it with his right hand.
[Energy suitable for martial artist absorption detected. Absorbing and converting it into swordsmanship points.]
Only after seeing the system prompt did Su Xing reveal a relieved smile. He patted all five corpses on the shoulder in turn, then went over to search the dried corpse that had been split in two from the start. Only then did he slowly let out a breath and mutter,
"That was close. I almost took a loss."
"H-How did they all just die?"
Su Yu leaned against the corner, staring blankly at Su Xing as he muttered in disbelief.
Those were seven Spirit Cult priests! Even special organizations would have to treat such a force seriously, yet his brother had killed them whenever he pleased—and... killed them so easily?!
Su Yu felt that the world was far too insane.
He knew his brother, the mysterious expert, was incredibly powerful, but he had never imagined his brother would be this absurdly strong!
If he had known earlier,
why would he have needed to panic so much?!
Across from the building.
The Thunder Priest stood there, staring fixedly at the rooftop through binoculars. Only after seeing every priest die miserably did his legs go weak, and the binoculars in his hands fell straight to the ground.
They hit the ground with a "bang."
The Thunder Priest found it unbelievable. He rubbed his head hard, then his face suddenly flushed red. Like a madman, he kept muttering to himself,
