Background / History

Recruitment of Abundance Douluo

After Ning Yao registers as a Rank 95 healing-type Titled Douluo, Bibi Dong personally praises the Soto City steward who handled his certification and extends a recruitment offer. Ning Yao refuses through the steward 14.

She later sends Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to locate him and deliver an invitation to Spirit City. Their approach carries an implied threat, but Ning Yao agrees only after securing Ghost Douluo’s participation in a healing experiment 26 27 28.

First Meeting and Submission

Bibi Dong receives Ning Yao in her private garden behind Pope Hall. Although she initially intends to bring him under her command, her attempt to probe him fails: even at Rank 99, she cannot determine his soul power. She questions his identity and relationship with Qian Daoliu, suspecting that the Worship Hall may be using him to challenge her 33.

Ning Yao declares that he serves no one and exposes her secret connection to the Rakshasa God. The revelation leaves her frightened and unable to sustain hostility toward him. He warns her to remain focused on her duties as Pope and stop seeking trouble with him 33 34.

Seed of Abundance and Seclusion

Ning Yao gives Bibi Dong a seed containing genuine Abundance power, far stronger than the healing seeds previously given to Ghost Douluo and Tianshui Academy. He intends its power to assimilate her and warns that absorption will require considerable time and involve suffering.
