Wade and Harry survived the First Task, then prepared for the Second Task while Wade navigated school life, the Christmas Ball, and a secret plan involving Ryan and Voldemort. The stretch ends with Harry learning the underwater clue and seeking a safer way to breathe beneath the Black Lake.

• Wade halted the Scorpion Golems that had attacked the champions, helped Harry obtain a Golden Egg, and returned with him to the platform after they disarmed Caspar.
• Wade opened his Golden Egg underwater and deciphered a clue about the Heart of Steel, Sunset Red, and a full moon, then discussed the Black Lake with Antoine and considered publishing their Charms teaching methods.
• Wade agreed not to target Hope during the Second Task, celebrated with Ravenclaw, and later wondered whether Grindelwald had influenced Antoine’s book proposal.
• Harry and Wade prepared for the Christmas Ball as Harry struggled to ask Cho, while Wade invited Natalia after she approached him and Fleur watched.
• Natalia recovered her Golden Egg from the lake and heard its song, while Neville used Wade’s Stone Necklace to visit his parents’ Mental Worlds at St. Mungo’s.
• At the Christmas Ball, Wade danced with Natalia, then witnessed Old Barty Crouch suspend Bagman over illegal gambling before Wade encountered Ryan searching the Room of Requirement for Ravenclaw’s Diadem.
• Wade helped Ryan recover the Diadem and struck him with a spell as he put it on, allowing Ryan to discover Voldemort’s identity and pretend to accept his order to bring Harry to him.
• Harry entered the freezing Black Lake to hear the Golden Egg’s clue, was rescued by Ron, and later sought Sirius’s help learning the Bubble-Head Charm.

Wade won the Second Task after exploring the Black Lake and rescuing Jabari, then captured Lucius Malfoy in toad form and brought him to Dumbledore. Lucius revealed Barty Crouch Jr.’s survival and information about Voldemort’s Golden Cup, while Draco found himself among a secret group of Dark Magic practitioners.

• Sirius coached Harry in the Bubble-Head Charm, then investigated Bagman and Old Barty before following Old Barty as a Black Dog.
• Wade learned that Neville’s parents were beginning to recognize him, introduced Shapeshifting Candy with Fred and George, and prepared Harry with Gillyweed for the Second Task.
• Wade proposed a shrinking-themed amusement park to Marchioni, then entered the Black Lake as a Merperson when the competition began.
• Wade collected the cylinder and Ancient Bronze Disc, survived the underwater canyon and its creatures, and rescued Jabari from Grindylows.
• Wade assembled the compass components, defeated an ambush by Kitajima Rikka and Adam Cagney, and helped bring both to the surface as the other champions completed the task.
• After a dream led him into the Forbidden Forest, Wade found Peeves tormenting Lucius Malfoy in toad form and captured him, while the Grey Lady warned that Ancient Things were awakening.
• Wade brought Lucius to Dumbledore, who restored him from the toad form, and Lucius revealed that Barty Crouch Jr. had survived and that Voldemort’s Golden Cup might be in the Lestrange vault.
• Draco followed Myrtle to a secret gathering of Dark Magic practitioners and recognized Crabbe and Goyle among its members.

Wade uncovered Barty Crouch Jr.’s disguise as Filch and learned that Voldemort was behind his attempt to deliver Harry. As Hogwarts prepared for the Third Task, Wade’s parents arrived, and he promised them he would not endanger his life before heading to the final.

• Draco spied on the Necromancer Society torturing rats, but Wade helped him escape and Draco admitted he had wanted to learn Dark Magic and regain respect.
• Wade met Günther Drayne and Antoine, discussed Grindelwald’s plans for peaceful unity, and urged them to treat Golems as people.
• Wade and Luna found a murdered elderly man’s skeleton near the maze, and the professors suspected the killer was disguised as someone at Hogwarts.
• Wade identified Barty Crouch Jr. posing as Filch, and Sirius helped him subdue the impostor and find the real Filch trapped in a chest.
• Under Veritaserum, Barty Jr. confessed that Voldemort had sent him to deliver Harry and revealed Wade had destroyed Voldemort’s body before his master recovered at Ilvermorny.
• Wade prepared for the Third Task, and Ferdinand and Fiona visited Hogwarts before he promised them he would give up rather than risk his life.
• As international guests arrived for the final, Dumbledore announced that the Third Task would begin in five minutes, and Wade hugged his parents before leaving with Bagman.

Wade used his Golems to advance through the Forbidden Forest while Harry and the other Champions faced its dangers. Wade and Harry reached the Triwizard Cup, learned it was a Portkey leading to Voldemort, and were transported to an abandoned monastery, where they were captured as children and brought before Voldemort.

• Wade entered the transformed Forbidden Forest, burned through Acromantulas, and built Golems that helped him overpower Krum and drive other Champions from the competition.
• Harry fought through the forest and teamed up with Natalia against a Golem, while Clementine, Hope, and other Champions faced Wade’s Golems and the forest’s traps.
• Harry reached the Cup, where Wade revealed that it was a Portkey leading to Voldemort and explained that Barty Crouch Jr. had escaped and arranged the plot.
• Harry chose to go with Wade, and the two touched the Cup together as Sirius ran toward the forest.
• Clementine and the Cheetah Golem also touched the Cup, and Wade and Harry arrived at an abandoned monastery, where Golden Mist reduced them to children and erased their memories.
• Barty Crouch Jr. and his companions captured Wade and Harry, brought them to Voldemort, and took Clementine with them despite Barty’s order to kill her.
• Voldemort searched Barty Jr.’s memories and saw how Ryan Smith had freed him, while Barty recalled using the Cup and manipulating the tournament to deliver Harry to Voldemort.
• Barty Jr. remembered that he had left Ryan transformed as a raven, then switched off the Streaming Mirror as Voldemort turned his attention to Harry and Wade.
