That last remark was purely Warfarin's trash talk, and Silence did not take it too seriously.

Silence was thinking.

She helped Warfarin up and asked in passing, "So, in your long life, you've never encountered a creature like this even once?"

"Nope."

A rosy flush flickered across Warfarin's pale cheeks. She grabbed Silence's arm and shook it hard, her tongue no longer obeying her properly and her words slightly slurred, as though the tiny electrical current had numbed her.

"I may not have seen one before, but I'm really interested in this kind of creature. Hurry and take me to see her."

"Get a move on!"

Warfarin could barely wait.

That fanatical look of hers might scare the patient.

Silence sensed the heat in the air. Turning her head, she saw Ifrit glaring fixedly at the brazen vampire. She quickly gestured for Warfarin to look over, and the latter promptly released her arm. Looking thoroughly sheepish, she no longer dared rub herself against Silence.

"Just kidding!"

Warfarin raised both hands high in surrender.

Only then did the temperature in the room gradually fall, and Ifrit's imposing aura slowly calmed. Warfarin and Silence both sighed in relief at the sight.

"By the way, you weren't dumb enough to bring her flamethrower too, were you?"

"Don't worry."

Silence asked cautiously, and Warfarin hurriedly denied it.

Thank goodness. Otherwise, she really would have questioned Warfarin's intelligence and checked whether she had developed dementia.

Once the pleasantries were over, they formed a medical team and headed to the site. Silence truly did not feel at ease leaving Ifrit alone at the inn, so she brought her along. And honestly, with that white lab coat on, aside from being a little short, Ifrit did look the part.
