Exusiai's driving skills were fairly proficient. It hadn't even taken three days for her to bring Lisa from Lungmen to Siracusa.
After arriving in Siracusa, she kept feeling a gloomy breeze blowing in the shadows. It was clearly a bright, sunny day, yet she felt as if someone were constantly watching her from the dark. Even an optimist like Exusiai could not help feeling a little irritated.
Who was following her in secret?
She suddenly turned around, and a silvery-white figure flashed past the end of the alley.
It seemed to be the woman Texas had warned her about. She had said that the more attention you gave her, the more excited she became, so it was best to just act as if she did not exist.
Exusiai generally listened to Texas, so she immediately turned away and pretended not to see anything. She brought Lisa to the designated location and, without even planning to buy any local specialties, intended to drive away at once.
But she was still a step too late. She was stopped right there in the street.
That woman strolled toward her, holding two long blades that looked remarkably like staffs. Exusiai sensed that a hard battle was about to begin. Her hands moved behind her back, and a Vector submachine gun silently slipped down, its dark muzzle aimed at Lappland.
The slightest unusual move, and she would be met with a saturated barrage of Originium bullets.
"You're the angel from Penguin Logistics, right?"
Unexpectedly, Lappland actually took her hands off the long blades and awkwardly made a gesture of friendliness.
"I'm on vacation, so..."
Lappland was practicing what the shrine maiden had taught her, no longer treating slacking off like some terrifying beast. "Do you need a guide in Siracusa?"
