Were they dealing with these monsters?
Nightmare had roughly guessed what was going on. It showed in the expressions on the monsters' faces before they died. Rather than a hunt, this was more like a merciful act of comfort. The nun's hand gently brushed over the souls that had found peace, which was why the monsters had looked so delighted before their deaths.

No sooner said than done.
She climbed to a high spot, her delicate body crouched atop a utility pole. Nightmare began observing the various pedestrians and the crowds farther away. Her targets were crowds that suddenly erupted into panic. When monsters appeared, surely the public could not be expected to remain calm as usual?
Nightmare's wait was not in vain.
Her cat ears caught screams.
Her eyes saw the commotion.
The timing of the monster's appearance was always terrifying. It emerged from an alley six hundred meters away, having just pushed open a manhole cover and stepped out
