Burning lava flowed across the earth.
A figure wielding a greatsword appeared before her. Wherever she stepped, there was only light and scorching heat. Hoshino had barely had time to rejoice before noticing that the black pillar of light had already vanished, greatly increasing the chance of being seen.
"Let's get out of here."
Hoshino muttered to herself and reached forward, trying to grab Surtr's horn like she had before.
A scorching blade greeted her.
The girl seemed to have been affected by the negative emotions contained within the Xuanyuan Sword. Her crimson pupils were filled with icy coldness, utterly at odds with the flames of passion.
She burned fiercely.
Hoshino looked at the legless lava giant-like entity behind Surtr. It seemed to be the product of her spirit merging with the sword, its body likewise formed from cracked stone. Effects swirled around her as though they cost nothing, completely unlike when Hoshino wielded the Xuanyuan Sword herself.
"That's some blatant favoritism."
Hoshino stepped forward. The lance known as Dawn of Glory swept out, dissipating the scorching blade without a trace.
She continued walking forward as if nothing had happened.
Nothing could stop her.
Even though Surtr had made a tremendous leap in strength, there was still an obvious gap between her and Durandal in her everyday outfit, the strongest Valkyrie.
As usual, Hoshino reached out her hand and, as usual, caught the Sarkaz girl by the horn.
Flowing flames swept across the land.
High leather boots stomped the ground. The frozen earth gradually melted and cracked. Durandal's figure vanished, transforming into a meteor that streaked across the horizon and disappeared from the sight of the Ursus soldiers. It was the overbearing bearing of a god.
"Catastrophe!"
Someone exclaimed loudly.
"The greatest catastrophe in Ursus history!"
