All traces of innocence and immaturity vanished.
Dawn's Glory stood alone upon the ground. She kicked aside her lance and strode across the lava, unhurriedly making her way to W.
"Let's go."
Hoshino said succinctly.
W was somewhat surprised. So, just as she had claimed, she really was the captain of some elite knight squad. Her long golden hair drifted in the hot wind, and the majesty and dominance she revealed in that instant shattered every impression W had formed of her over the past few days.
She was a little like that woman.
Yet completely different. Durandal lacked that cold, murderous air. Even as she walked over lava, she could not conceal that sense of warmth.
"Hm?"
"Why didn't you rub against my horn this time?"
"Because the opponent in this battle wasn't a real person. They put machines before me, so naturally, I wouldn't regard it as a match, but as an insult."
"Since it was an insult, there was no need to hold back."
"..."
Actually, considering the spectators surrounding the arena, she could not release her energy without restraint. She had probably still held back, controlling the power within that small knightly arena.
Having shed her gentle disguise, she was still a proud knight at heart.
W was delighted.
In truth, she had already begun to grow bored with these matches. Constantly crushing opponents in an instant was hardly novel, but today's battle, though still an instant defeat, held none of that gentleness in the blonde knight's eyes.
Hurry up and get to the White Glove challenge, then brutally wipe out the entire merchant association.
W was filled with anticipation once more.
There was no victory celebration tonight.
The Radiant Knight's victory odds rapidly fell. Even after dropping to 1:1.4, they showed no signs of stopping.
