"Why is she here?"
FrostNova muttered to herself. She did not particularly want to know the reason, but if the fortress kept moving forward, it would crush her. Such a powerful opponent would definitely strike to destroy the fortress, and she and the Guerrilla Fighters still had a mission. It would not be good for the fortress to be destroyed here.
Stopping the fortress took time.
The furnace went out, and the fortress slowed, carving a trail of progress across the earth. It howled, expelling its last wisp of smoke and dust like a Spanish bull trying to come to a stop.
When it finally stopped completely, it had come to a halt right in front of Hoshino, with less than ten meters between them.
"FrostNova."
Hoshino called up at her. "I want you to help me train."
Hoshino's tone was extremely serious, leaving the Guerrilla Fighters inside the fortress looking at one another. They all turned toward the watchtower, while some looked up at the towering figure on the wall, as tall and dark as a black tower.
"Hmm?"
FrostNova's thoughts were a mess. She had originally wanted to avoid this situation at all costs, yet the shrine maiden had come right to her doorstep, her gaze fervent and clear as the purest sapphire, stirring an involuntary sense of annoyance in FrostNova.
Patriot paid no attention to the commotion below. He wanted to see how his daughter would handle it.
The solution was simple.
Hoshino was allowed into the fortress, and the Guerrilla Fighters continued onward.
"Is there a training ground?"
Hoshino asked. FrostNova said nothing, merely leading her onward until the two arrived at a wide, open area.
Upon hearing that Big Sister FrostNova was going to spar with someone, the Guerrilla Fighters promptly cleared the place out.
