Kal'tsit wanted Red to grow.
Success was a form of growth, and failure was as well. Both were equally important.
But Red was a Lupo hunter. For an assassin so exceptionally skilled, failure was an extremely unfamiliar word.
Was that good? No, it was not.
Watching Red accept the mission with a bewildered look, clearly understanding nothing yet unable to refuse, Kal'tsit unconsciously crossed her legs. The gesture was so absurd that even she felt strangely relaxed after doing it.
"This is rather fun."
Kal'tsit gave her sincere assessment.
Hoshino left after delivering her report without another word. Red tried to follow her like a shadow, but Kal'tsit caught her and asked a few more questions.
"Where are your other two teammates?"
"Forest Watchers went home to sleep. Schwarz cares more about her sister than the mission."
Red answered seriously.
"Schwarz's sister is her... weakness."
Remembering weaknesses was indeed Red's style. After all, she was part of Rhodes Island's internal cleanup unit. It was necessary for her to remember every operator's vulnerabilities. Though she hoped there would never be a day when they were needed, it was still necessary.

Kal'tsit waved her off. Red immediately began her task, preparing to silently climb the cliff face to reach the shrine.
Then, she failed.
The shrine stood silently in place atop the mountain of the mobile fortress. Its thruster ports slowly rotated to face the ground, and with precise construction and materials several times stronger than normal, the engines began operating at 1000%.
Coupled with Heavy Bunny's complex calculations, taking off became highly possible.
Of course, this was merely brute force—making bricks fly by throwing them hard enough. A proper aerospace professor would not even spare it a glance.
