No money for a hotel, no money for food. She had just attacked two Lupo with unstoppable force, but she had not stolen from them.

Kal'tsit breathed a sigh of relief. She had thought Red was considering backing out.
"Rhodes Island has a local office in Lungmen. Even though it is staffed entirely by locals, you can go there and eat and drink for free."

Red fell into thought.
After a while, she replied, "But isn't this a top-secret mission? In theory, I shouldn't reveal it to the local office."

The other end fell silent.
Kal'tsit had been so focused on the results that she had forgotten about that!
Kal'tsit remembered that she had personally told Red those very words. She had truly lifted a rock only to drop it on her own foot.

Red watched the sun slowly rise. The public phone's meter had forcibly cut off the call. Her expression remained indifferent, but she had completely lost her sense of direction.

Red muttered to herself.
Time to tidy up and go get some prison food. She could break out after eating.
Red coldly packed her belongings, pushed open the phone booth door, and licked her glowing dagger.
If she did not eat prison food, she would have no food at all. It was not as if she could go hunting.
The instant Kal'tsit cut off the communication, she understood. The public phone had probably run out of credit, which was why Red had been forcibly disconnected. This mission had indeed been a whim of hers, and so far, the results looked promising. She did not want to let go.
