Hoshino didn't tease Red much more, either. Little Ch'en was still unconscious and could wake up at any moment. If she caught herself naked in her master's arms, carefully wrapped in a blanket and held like a princess, with one of her little hands raised and waving at Red, it would probably cause a huge problem.

"I've conducted a thorough reconnaissance of the target. In my personal assessment, the mission requirements have been met. Red... wants to go home."

The Shrine was full of tricks. She wanted to go back to Rhodes Island.
She didn't know whether this instinctive aversion counted as fear, but if it did, then she'd managed to scare off the legendary Wolf Hunter. Hoshino's already long list of misdeeds had just gained another striking entry.
