Boss Role-Playing Mode.
That was rather novel. Hoshino froze for a moment, sensing the system's malice.
Of course, this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.
When the PS5 first launched, Hoshino had bought Demon's Souls Remake along with it. She had little attachment to the Souls series, but she had unexpectedly grown fond of playing the boss, the Yellow-Clad Dark Spirit. "The missing ten percent is Father's energy supply unit. Without it, Father is just a pile of scrap metal."
"That's really bad!"
Exusiai looked as though she were facing a great enemy. "So if we don't find that thief and bring back the energy supply unit, I won't be able to pilot a Gundam?"
"Never again."
Hoshino shook her head with feigned regret. Exusiai immediately went pale, nearly unable to stay on her feet.
"Then..."
"This is a trial."
Hoshino patted her shoulder. "Defeat the thief and become a Gundam pilot. It's all up to you. I have high hopes for you."
"Mm."
Exusiai had fallen for it. It wasn't that she was unintelligent—it was simply that Hoshino had no reason
