Hoshino had to reiterate that this was not an invitation. She was giving Talulah an order.
This was absolutely not something Talulah could refuse.

"Other than sunbathing and watching the moon atop your tower, do you have any other work?"
Hoshino set down her two greatswords, folded her arms across her chest, and said bluntly, "Honestly, other than being a banner and a mascot, you don't seem to serve any other purpose."

That really hit where it hurt.
She was Reunion Movement's banner and calling card. It could even be said that Talulah was the Reunion Movement. Even so, that close association did not count as daily work.
If one had to say what daily work Talulah did, there was only one answer.
She did nothing.
"Don't worry. If anyone comes up to the top of the tower, this feather will answer all their questions. It will also read their minds and create the Talulah that the visitor believes to be the most reasonable."
Hoshino burned a piece of Fenghuang Down. "Nothing will go wrong."

A cool breeze swept past, and Rozaliya's little nest suddenly began to creak. Scrap metal and building materials piled atop one another. Hoshino raised her blades so quickly that she even stirred up a violent gale.
Despite having been repaired many times, Rozaliya's construction skills were what they were. Her little nest had long been on the verge of collapse.
Boom.
Hoshino raised her hand, the wind from her blade sharp and chilling. Yet Talulah's gaze was not fixed on the sword edge inches away from her, but on Rozaliya's damaged shack some distance away.
Hoshino had an idea.
