Background / History
W served in the Sarkaz mercenary company commanded by Garson, whose wage skimming and control of the group bred resentment among his troops. She intended to remove him and take command, while maintaining the mercenaries’ place within the Reunion Movement’s forces. Her arrangement with Scout collapses when Rhodes Island intervenes, forcing her to escape through explosions and planted mines. 5 16 20
Following Garson’s death in a purported mutiny, W becomes the public leader of the mercenary group. She leads an ambush against a Reunion unit and defeats Flamebringer, but unexpectedly lets him go. During this operation, Oute takes control of her body through the Proxy Protocol, exposing both the extent of his power and the vulnerability of their connection. 34 35
W gradually brings her mercenaries into closer cooperation with Rhodes Island. She accepts operations under Oute’s command, though she remains alert to his manipulation and repeatedly challenges his motives. When one of her centurions forges her orders and takes men for his own profit, W convenes a military tribunal and reasserts control over the company. 103 104 106
Appearance
W is a pale, slender Sarkaz woman whose expression can shift from cool composure to a deliberately frenzied grin in combat. 104 126
- Often carries Originium bombs and a self-defense dagger. 5 34
- Later uses a lightweight powered halberd. 174
- Wears Rhodes Island uniforms during some joint operations, including the Core City infiltration. 126
Personality
W is foul-mouthed, provocative, and highly pragmatic. She views mercenary work as an exchange of risk for payment, resists empty promises of security, and is quick to challenge anyone who assumes authority over her or her soldiers. 16 45 46
Despite her ruthlessness, W is attentive to the survival and standing of her people. She negotiates for better terms, punishes a subordinate who bypasses her command, and takes direct responsibility for imposing order among mercenaries, militia, and refugees. 45 104 106 174
Her relationship with Oute leaves her caught between defiance, reliance, and genuine attachment. She recognizes his tendency to use people as pieces in a larger plan, yet continues to seek his approval and reacts visibly when he expresses concern for her. 104 118 133
Abilities & Skills
Explosives and Sabotage
W specializes in the use of Originium explosives, employing them for ambushes, battlefield demolition, and concealment.

Mental Link and Proxy Protocol
Oute can communicate with W mentally, equip her with accessories, and at times control her body through the Proxy Protocol.
- W and Oute exchange thoughts directly after he establishes a psychic link with her. 33 104
- Oute possesses W during the operation against Flamebringer; her unconsciousness is not a barrier to the Proxy Protocol, though an unawakened body is sluggish. 34
- She can resist granting him control, forcing him to consider breaching her mental defenses instead. 44
- Oute uses her as a battlefield relay and grants her temporary equipment-based enhancements. 35 126
Equipment
- Originium bombs — Her principal offensive weapons; used for direct attacks, demolition, and smoke cover. 5 30 126

Story Role / Major Arcs
Garson’s Mercenary Company
W’s early role centers on the Sarkaz company employed around Chernobog. She resents Garson’s exploitation, seeks to seize leadership, and balances her nominal Reunion affiliation against the mercenaries’ own survival and profit. 5 16 20
Break with Reunion
After assuming command, W begins acting increasingly independently of Reunion. Her ambush on Flamebringer’s unit, her refusal to accept bait work without compensation, and her skepticism toward Talulah’s promises establish her as a leader pursuing her own interests rather than blind loyalty. 34 45 46
Lungmen Operations
W joins Oute’s campaign around Lungmen, leading Sarkaz in coordinated actions while he micromanages multiple fronts. Her authority is challenged by Centurion Spoon’s unauthorized detachment, prompting her to publicly restore discipline through a tribunal. 104 105 106
Rhodes Island Integration
As the Sarkaz become more closely associated with Rhodes Island, W is tasked with acting as an officer among the Deepwinter Soldiers and helping maintain refugee order. Oute later chooses her to form the Del Diener, a legion intended to turn the battle-hardened but loosely organized mercenaries into a cohesive force through Interstice training. 118 174 176
